Hi fellow Dopoders, anyone installed the new ROM yet ? PPCSG and myPDACafe has posted some interesting forums on the new ROMs.

I want to upgrade mine too, but i need to backup my Dopod. Do u all know what else is there to backup other than contacts and the calendar  and what software can do all this backup one shot ?

Guys, all installed application are stored in local storage or can be change to external storage (SD card)? how to install apps to stored in Mem card?

er..when u installl..they will ask u whether store in device or memory card....only some programes that only can be install into device will auto-install inside device...

which company is this software from? Difficult to search when the title is so generic.
Or can you provide the link to its website?

AMS in lowyat 1st floor got many variety. I got mine around RM80 (can't remember). See attached.

novacells selling those leather case around RM40 and it got holes for the camera (it fits 818pro and O2 Mini). I believe that casing of yours dont have holes for the camera rite? (coz I used to have 1)

After updateed the ROM and install pocket plus...
Will it hang like last time???

Ok, I created a small CAB file for anyone want to OC there 818 Pro. Please remember you need to use memmaid to insert the OmapClock.lnk to run when "wakeup", I also set the OC to 240Mhz, cause that is the reasonable speed to OC.

Here are the instruction.

1) Download the Mkap_OverClock.zip
2) Inside contain 1 CAB file, extract it
3) Run ActiveSync with your 818 Pro
4) Copy the CAB File into anywhere your 818 Pro
5) Run the CAB file, install into your Device
6) Run Memmaid, tap on the second icon from your left at the bottom
7) tap on "Add" button
8) Under "Program" choose the location of the lnk file "Windows\Start Menu\programs\OmapClock.lnk"
9) Select the "Event" menu and scroll down to "The device woke up" then tap "Add"
10) Soft reset your 818 Pro. Done

Please backup first before install the CAB file, I've tested with my own device, it worked very well, but I'm not too sure about others.

binary if you are using the latest ROM then you don't need to worry about SD card disappeared, cause Dopodasia had fixed the problem. For 1GB mini SD, you need the adaptor to fit into Dopod 818 Pro SD slot right? As long you got the adaptor, I don't think it should be the problem.

have you set your camera setting>capture size... to 2M (2 Mega pixal)?

I think is ur camera setting wrongly...

Can someone solve my problem as i post before???

binary, you can try this following setting for your camera.
Contrast = 5, Brightness = 6, Saturation = 3, Hue = 5,Sharpness = 3

For dark area, try this setting.
Contrast = 4, Brightness = 3, Saturation = 3 Hue = 5, Sharpness = 2

For bright area, try this setting.
Contrast = 5, Brightness = 4, Saturation = 3, Hue = 5, Sharpness =2
