Nice LDD of the Melaka clockhouse. Would like to see it in brick form.

I did make a minifig scale shop house before. Used to tumpang a bricklink bulk purchase to get all the white bricks and roof tiles. Even a simple building like this almost 800+ parts and then need to use some of my own parts as well. The 2x2 dark grey tiles alone almost 60 cents EACH.

I also saw the new Monster Fighters, Star Wars and Technic Crawler in TRU and Brickboy. Really tempted to get the crawler to add to my Technic flagship collection, just that I just spend alot on my recent Town Hall purchase  sweat.gif

Hey hey hey... I saw that peculiar sticker with coins on it. Looks like you also is a proud owner of this set:

My very first LEGO "building" set . Cost only rm3x.xx back in late 80s I think. I learnt to build it by heart since I cherish it so much.

Looks puny compared to the GG and GE. This was long before I bought the FB and PS.

For the clock tower i gonna go BL and do costing also. Now that i see its kinda do-able, i will LDD the church and stadthuys itself to see if it comes together well, if it does i will build it and display. my main limitation is to fit it to a 32x64 tile size because that is the display case size.

Your shop makes malaysia proud. Maybe i havent seen enuf moc but i feel its quite a challenge to do malaysian building. its well done and i know the tiles are painfully expensive. i also getting at 20c to 40c a piece for 1x1,1x2,1x4,2x2. white brick also expensive cos its not much in bulk sets sold here.

Dun worry about compare to modulars. for me nothing beats the feeling of having made something we can be proud of, something we locals can relate to. If i could, I will do old style pre-war shoplot like in penang and small towns in malaysia. or a tot/4d/magnum kedai haha.

Hi everyone, need some help from the Lego experts here biggrin.gif

I'm trying to get the Ninjago Lloyd ZX spinner set (9574) for my son but I'm not sure whether it's been released here or not.

Lego.com have listed the release date as 26th September, but I know it's already on sale on eBay.

I've asked some of the toy shops here but I getting different answers. For instance, some Toys R Us branches said they were sold out but others said the stock hasn't come in yet. Same goes for different branches of Isetan's toy sections.

I called up Brickboys Toys (Gardens) and they said it hasn't been released yet. But yesterday, my son's classmate said he bought the last one from Bangsar Shopping Centre (not sure which shop).

I'm totally confused now. Is it out yet or not? icon_question.gif

Correct, it is the famous Lego bank from last time. The building was quite unique for its time with the truck and the angled doors. I still have most of the parts of it though.

Most of the picture are in this thread on Bricksmal. Below is a larger picture of the safe.

I actually build it on LDD before I made the huge order for the bricks. Have not done something similar due to the lack of time now sweat.gif

On Eurobricks there are some AFOLs crying foul at TLG for originally pricing it at 139.90 Euros but later reverted to 179.90 Euros when TLG suddenly realize something. In fact there are posters on Eurobricks where people manage to buy it at the original cheaper price. sweat.gif

You can read the thread here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?...ic=70696&st=495

I too wanted the set since it is a great set to put it by my modular buildings. But after the price jumping by TLG the mood to buy it went out the window. vmad.gif

Wonder how long the bricks can stand under the Malaysian sun?
It will be very costly if the have to replace the bricks every few months or so.
