i'm dying for this set!! i'm not sure how to buy. in US lego.com it's USD179.90. that's only RM540++. How much is shipping, do u think? with AJL pricing, for sure gonna be RM899 like mecharojak expects.

Damn... I feel so empty after publishing my new MOC.
Need to "lepas gian" on a set coz dunt want waste a weekend without building anything. Might grab one later from Monster Fighters set. Not too keen on their minifigs. Can anyone take it off my hands at a reasonable price?

all this while it has been hit'n'miss as i dont have very good "raba-raba" skills so i end up with doubles & triples. but for series 8 since i only had bought 1 figure only when one of the Forummers (Chaud) offered the whole series at a very good price i bought the whole series. While i have the complete Series 8 now i didnt enjoy the element of surprise or randomness if you play the "raba-raba" game. but the bad point is that you may not be able to complete your collection - my only complete collection is Series 2,3,4 & now 8.
i had pretty good raba2 and picit2 skills during S7, 13 out of 16 figures got thru picit2 and it took me months to complete and endless visits to TRU and malls. cheated on my last 3 figures and bought if off people cos I give up already, always missing out on newly opened boxes, and of course the good ones will be finished by the time i get there. full set S8 when our members first got hold of them, and now when i see the minifigs boxes at TRU or wherever i just smile and feel glad that i don't have to go thru one by one to find what i want. (my friends think i'm nuts cos i can stand there and picit for 1-2 hours especially if they have 2 open boxes )
now all i do is buy and trade. easier. but of course if you want personal satisfaction, picit2 and guessing blindly by looking at the box (not going thru internet and see tips on what to look for to guess) and opening the bag right after you paid for it and got it right... now that is more satisfying.

Suggest to put a simple guideline on the 1st page on thread on how to buy lego from bricklink (payment/shipping/best store/etc.)

Yeah! Totally agree! Been tempting to buy from bricklink like most of you guys do, but I have no freaking idea on how to go about it and I don't know how to use paypal.

got the first 3 cars already... but all bought by someone else cos i don't pump shell. i asked how they bought it but the explanation is very vague "just pump and buy RM12.90".
Now I want the minifigures I guess I'll go pump in shell this one time, so how does it work exactly? i have to pump in at least RM40 vpower to buy minifigs @10.90 right? can i pump petrol with credit card or cash only? must use bonuslink while pumping petrol and buying lego? if I pump RM50 vpower i can get free LLM voucher as well?
