The displayed cost of joining McOcean:
Membership - RM38
First batch of items - RM2,000
Second batch of items - RM33,000
(Initially you are being told that it will only cost RM2,000, but guess what, the RM33,000 Trojan horse suddenly appears)

The hidden cost of joining McOcean:
Transportation, Events, Tolls - Depends on how frequent you spend on them
Interest if you take loan
Having to buy the items monthly just to get bonus or commissions etc

I will say this: the items are not valuable, the title means nothing, you are just wasting your time and money if you are still inside. Your up lines will not have your best interests at their heart because if they do, they wonโ€™t earn your money. Time to see the big picture and just leave.

Glad that PW Facebook group is exposing this.

According to the US Federal Trade Commission,

Here are some warning signs of a pyramid scheme:

1. Promoters make extravagant promises about your earning potential.
"You can earn RM5k per month, RM20k per month, oh wait, the best: RM100k per month!" As per certain members.

2. Promoters emphasize recruiting new distributors for your sales network as the real way to make money.
Indirect sales - Getting you to buy items without you even realising it, and encouraging more people need to join by buying the items to reach a certain rank and make money (more like recouping)

3. Promoters play on your emotions or use high-pressure sales tactics, maybe saying youโ€™ll lose the opportunity if you donโ€™t act now and discouraging you from taking time to study the company.
I remembered wanting to take time to consider joining, but guess what? They are so eager for you to sign up immediately! They won't give you personal time to think. Straight away ask you "what's wrong?" instead of "okay i see, give yourself some time, if it is right for you, let me know." Add on, the wayang positivity shown there. "Hey you know what, after joining this business, I earn RM8k/month, buy a car or a house weyh, so nice right?"

4. Distributors buy more products than they want to use or can resell, just to stay active in the company or to qualify for bonuses or other rewards.
The monthly buying their items requirement for you to be eligible for sales commissions or bonus. In practice, you don't have to pay the maintenance but then you bonus will not be available. And guess what, people may have extra products where some even resorted to selling them on Lazada or Shopee. You can look up the items there that is sold at a discount.

This business may be legal, but is acting like a pyramid scheme.

So, I just registered Mc Ocean today until I found this post online....
because I felt quite odd with the rm 2k+ payment which I did not do, only paid the rm38 registration.

Should I be worried with my information that I provided them?
Phone number, house address and bank account?

Hi there, dont worry.
Your Introducer and uplines will not give your details to Mc Ocean counter to process your registration because they cannot pocket the RM 2K from you.

Just start ignoring their calls and messages as they will try all sorts of tactics to lure you to join their outdoor activities/ office trainings/ events to brainwash you.

Yes, it is a painful thing. I was introduced to Mc Ocean by a good friend too, now we are no longer friends anymore. Blocked her ever since I left this scarm.

The longer your friend is with Mc Ocean, the more brainwashed she is. She will only view you as her "money making machine" now that she has a RM 35K loan that needs to pay off (adding interest will be RM 1000 x 60 months).

You are doing the right thing to walk away from your friend and Mc Ocean. thumbsup.gif

Hey there,

Request membership termination from McOcean.

From there, if anyone from the network invites you out for events, just decline their request. If they persists, just block them. You don't owe them anything.

[Optional]: You can question them about some of the things you see at lowyat forum here, and see how they respond. I suspect that they will dodge the question or answer things that don't make sense.

I cut that friend off as well. I can't believe that he/she would even get involved in this business and introduce it to me.

Wasted my money for the RM10 online seminar, Grab and tolls, and also the RM38 membership fee just to find out this crap. In total, that is about RM100 - RM200.

Losing RM100 - RM200 for nothing is painful, what more to say tens of thousands of RM (if I fall for this crap)?

FYI: For my case, it wasn't a close friend. He/she texted me out of the random initially and I should have suspect something weird, but I didn't.

That odd feeling saved you thousands.
Damn, I gotta say you are one of the luckiest out there.

But yeah, be careful with them coming back at you, unless you have blocked all of them.

Quickly contact your credit card CS and informed you didn't make this RM2k transactions.
Usually cc you can get back, if debit card, it's goodbye money.

Proceed to ask your Bank to give you a new credit card and terminate the existing one. Next time, use a virtual cards for any unfamiliar dealers or online transactions so you can freeze it any time.

Wow...you follow a random stranger to an MLM event?? Any spam numbers is bad. Either marketeers or scammers. Only 2 possibilities.

From what I read, it looks like the person didnt make any payment through credit card or other payment methods. Just that he/she chooses not to pay the RM2,000.

And for me, I didnโ€™t follow a random stranger to event. He/she introduced a ex-KP to me and I began chatted with that ex-KP (a stranger), eventually I met up at Old Town W Coffee at Petaling Jaya.

Honestly, if any friend/stranger suddenly wanted to help me out of the blue, I should have been very suspicious/cautious back then. I wasnโ€™t.

I thought that I could make some side income from this business.

I remembered when I paid the RM38 reluctantly. And in my mind, I thought that something is very off. I told myself not to make further payments and decided to Google this business which led me to Lowyat forum. Heck, I remembered that ex-CKP/KP asked me to pay for the ticket to go for GES.

Immediately, I stood my ground and said no. I knew what was going to happen if I go.

What these members did inside is to try to give you as little information as possible to keep you curious. You wanna know how to earn RM5,000 per month? Well thatโ€™s easy.

Quit McOcean.

Every RM saved is every RM earned.

Why do I need to pay money to learn how to earn money? Why do I need to attend an event just to learn how to earn money?

And paying for ultra expensive product with low demand? No thanks.

Btw, active members, stop telling people that they are earning money. They are just recouping their money. And stop all of these misleading claims on the income.

Lastly, when we complain here, we are not competitors. We have seen the ridiculous practices inside. Competitors? Your product is so high in demand meh? ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ Why not openly make it available to the public if so? You all are treating this business like some sort of a secret club.

Seems like Mc Ocean is DESPERATELY trying to make their biggest scarm event a big deal.

Suddenly, their quiet Insta and FB accounts is filled with new posts, but alot of them are the same old Prince Premiers and Knight Premiers getting award AGAIN, like EVERY year yawn.gif yawn.gif yawn.gif

Nevertheless, they serve a great purpose, reviewing the faces of the Mc Ocean MLM Salesman and Saleswoman to the world to see for as long as internet is alive. Well done! rclxms.gif

Is there big event tomorrow a bog deal? Nope. Just another event that was paid for by their well brainwashed members and the new victims with their hard earned money, while Mc Ocean management and leaders will pocket the rest as profit of that day's event.

For those who are attending the event tomorrow in Penang, ask yourselves this:

1) Can you actually become "successful" in a MLM that has already active for 15 years, but only left with so few members (1k active members left is nothing)?
2) If they are so successful, 15 years they should be famous and highly reputable, but why only so few members left?
3) Can you still make money through MLM today in this era, do you think Pyramid Scheme disguised as MLM is still a NEW THING today?

As for me, I rather take my families out on a great weekend trip tomorrow, than to waste my entire Saturday watching the members syok sendiri on stage for hours. GLHF! rclxs0.gif

Hahaha please lah... Alot of those Tee-up Notes about those Mc Ocean members are made up.

Ex - employee, own alot of houses, lands or fancy cars, have many side businesses etc etc ... ... All BS made up to make ourselves sound successful when our downlines tee up about us to their victims.

We are told to add those stuffs into out Tee-up Notes, because there is no freaking way the victims can verify those lies.

If I want to summarize my experience in Mc Ocean, is that EVERYTHING EVERYONE ARE JUST FAKING EVERYDAY. Fake success, fake rich, fake smiles, fake until I could hardly recognize myself anymore.
The day I decided to walk out of Mc Ocean, was the best decision I made for myself.

To those who were invited out to Mc Ocean's office or their social gatherings, you will notice that these "Entrepreneurs" (including your Introducer) are very glued to their phones, whenever and wherever they will constantly check their phones or typing messages to someone.

They will tell the victims that they have "businesses" elsewhere that needs their attention so they need to handle it.
But actually they are updating their uplines on the victim's current mindset and getting instructions from the uplines on how to MINDBREAK the victim.

Examples:

"My prospect (victim) is very defensive about this platform."
"She is very anti-MLM because she was cheated before."
"When KP XXX was talking to him about house loan, he agrees with KP XXX that he is worried to lose his job because he has no savings to pay for his house loan."
"My prospect currently have commitments like car loan and credit card debt, do you think she can secure RM 35K personal loan?"
"Here is the FORMHD (information your Introducer gathered from you when she asked you out for dinner(s)) about my prospect, her SOFTPOINT is family. KP, please focus on MIDBREAK her on that."
"Prospect is very negative about taking RM 35K loan, KP please help to RATIONALIZE him."

Through these method, victims will have the impression that how come the people tat talked to them have so much common grounds and understanding about their concerns.
But everything is just plain manipulation in Mc Ocean, right from the start when your friend/ family member/ stranger you met on social media that persistently try to invite you out for a 1-to-1 meal OR join his/ her Social Events.
Mc Ocean's end goal of doing these is always the same, to CON-vince you to pay RM 35K to buy their FAKE DREAM OF BECOMING A SUCCESS "ENTREPRENEUR".

Don't be the next victim of Mc Ocean!

Exactly.

The poeple came to talk to me were having "common grounds" with me, but they didn't know I had lie since the start. By doing that, I knew my introducer was sharing informations to them because there is no such thing as too good to be true and one hell of a coincidence.

Too bad that the informations I shared was not common enough that they have to fake their identities to come to talk to me. It was really funny looking at them lying for the sake of securing a potential victim.

I was lucky that I had experience dealing with this ype of fraud before the encounter with this group.

I think this is common tactics used by most MLMers. They will feed on you when you're weak, try to see whats the common belief to share with you and all sorts of strategies to break you. Last time I have ex friend MLM also. Taught me some MLM tricks. Like when meet with people have them seat facing you with the wall behind in coffee shop and not let them sit facing outside so they are not distracted and they can work their magic on you.

Unfortunately for him, unker too stronk to be easily broken. ๐Ÿ˜‚

When your Introducer (Friend/ Family/ Online Stranger) ask you to meet up with you ALONE, that is the 1st Red Flag to be skeptical about his/ her motives. 2nd Red Flag is how desperate they will be to want to meet you up ASAP.
Most probably is going to be MLMers or Insurance people.

After these Meetups (or Mc Ocean's terms, Warm Up), your introducer will fill up a form called FORMHD and submit to his/her Upline KP to see whether you are a potential target (aka Star Premier Quality prospect) worth continue to mindbreak and bring to their office.

Below post is an example of the criterias that these Mc Ocean Scarmmers are targeting to kon RM 35K from:

QUOTE(luzdeexpo @ Aug 20 2018, 11:09 PM)
For all of you who have been approached by McOcean Members,

Let me tell you, that you have been specifically targeted.

The CKPs and KPs love someone who fits these criteria:-
- Working for >3years
- Tired of working life due to stressful working environment
- Lot of family commitments (ailing parents, young siblings)

When you become a McOcean Member, a SP, the KPs will move in to start planning with you.

They will make you create a name list of all your known close friends and family based on facebook contacts, phone book and whatsapp.

They will then try to identify a JUICY PROSPECT,
someone they know will have the capacity to put down 35K
and will ask you to meet up with them for a "Warm Up"
where you will gather info on them into something called FORMHD.

The FORMHD will be shared among all members in the network;
so that they can find people like you
(same job, same problems, same dreams)
so that you can relate well to them, and
feel like they really care for you but in truth, no.

This is how a FORMHD Template looks like :-
