Hmmmz.. let me rephrase.. tongue.gif ...Im juz wondering does that happened to those "velvet" looking ones... coz this my first headphones that has that.. blush.gif

Okiez, i have 'warm-up' my SHP895 for 40hrs liaoz... i gotta say, definately better than my previous headphones which its AltecLansing's AHP512 blush.gif ..heh

More comfortable, due bigger ear-cups wink.gif , better balance of treble & bass too.. flex.gif

And lastly, really nice 'stand' for it.. heh thumbup.gif

hm... what source/soundcard/player u using?
some time, those flac needs u to off all those setting. Flat all EQ. off surround. off 3D then u can notice that it is sweet.
if u tweek eq in winamp then might be the problem.
give us more info then maybe someone around here can figure it out.

wanna ask oso
ppl seems to be focused on the amp, the soundcard, n all

but how about the player itself?
like me, im using lappy dvdrom drive to play cd-audio

is there any difference if i use other brand, more "spec" dvdrom to play cd?
since its the real primary source anyway

Original Flac source is most important. Are you sure your flacs came from 100% original CDs?

well..when we talk about source..we usually refer to the DAC on the sound card itself..not the drive or 'transport' as someone would phrase..hehe..and i never heard someone review the audio quality of the dvd/cd drive in the market..so, i assume that all drive should be the same...

what test song actually you use..if its pop/mainstream..then it will be hard to differentiate between those codec..becoz it is originally compressed oredi..try search for less than 800kbps FLAC song and see if u can hear any difference..(if u know what i mean)

Cheers thumbup.gif
