It really hot when u wear it non-stop for 5 hours

i received my hp1000 about 4 days ago and i have been enjoying it..savouring every inch of it...
just now i listened to marc anthony's my baby you...
AND WOW!!!!!!

i think i was in 'half-possesed' state..man
my eyes closed...
enjoying his voice...

wonder how it'll sound like when i buy one.

anyways..to 'bring out the best' of my can,
shud i get a soundcard(for my lappy..as i usually listen to songs from it) OR shud i get a an amplifier?

If you have paired HP1000 + PA2v2 sure you will wet your pants. (same setup like mine )

Unamped HP1000 is seriously underpowered. It's amazing how much the HP1000 can improve wif such a cheap amp

i think u should try the amps urself be4 u buy. try n see if u can notice any significant improvement. btw, thedoctor is selling a portable amp for RM300. quite an expensive investment, it is class A, so should b better than the class AB. but again, if u cant hear the difference between class AB and class A, no point spending the extra for the latter. the best thing is thedoctor is giving a 14-day money back guarantee. meaning if u ar not satisfied, don notice any difference, u can giv it back to him n he wil giv u full refund.

i seriously believe HP1000 is underpowered when unamped. it is very difficult to drive. so i think amping it wil improve the sound a lot.

for ext soundcard, PSC805 is a nice n cheap 1. or u can try Audigy NX - ext version of Audigy2 ZS. but buying an amp+soundcard will cost u quite alot. if money is not ur prob, then u can go ahead... haha

Louder = yes
Clearer = depends on your source setup and your listening environment and finally your ears.

If you say HP1000 not very much different with Logitech I guess you are not really into audiophile yet.

THe best album to start with is getting a nice recording audiophile album. Highly recommend is FIM super sound volume 1 & 2.
