And... and... and... surprisingly... surprisingly...

Majority of those mining, chopping, harvesting tools you can buy from Jeweller trainer NPC.... doh.gif Instead of other merchants...
When I first started crafting jewellery, take a look at the trainer's shop list... all are tools... nothing more...

It's a good thing to learn about this right before launch tongue.gif So it's still not too late ^^. All craft trainers sell those tools smile.gif

Oh and in BWE3, they added bank tab to craft station. Which mean, we don't have to go back to city for bank if we are near crafting hubs nod.gif Ex: Township of claypool for Queensdale.

Yupe, there were 2 tabs in trainer NPC(s). 1 tab is selling normal merchant stuff with better quality tools, the other are crafting mats for the craft discipline.

So so... wanna try the crazy idea of lvl a new toon to 80 with pure crafting? tongue.gif

So start game first thing to do is get enough money to get salvage kit and trainer tools. I keep seeing trees, ores etc but didn't buy any tools to chop/mine them.

Yeah all trainers sell those tools, and the bank tab in crafting station makes thing so much more convenient. I remember in GW I always have to double check the amount of mat needed, then go to my chest to take them out, only then can go to crafter to craft armor.

Yeah salvage kit is a little problem, (can we stack them, didn't tried). Can easily burnt hundred of them quickly.

http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Salvage_kit

Logically would be better to just stick to the cheapest one most of the time unless want to salvage anything above GREEN rank.

Pro-tips for beginner!

Back in the stress test before BWE1. I was like standing beside copper-node, hmm.gif for like 3 minutes, and spent 20 minutes looking for gathering tools around the map. doh.gif

8 Crafting Discipline to choose from.

[Armorsmith, Leatherworker, Tailor] depending on your class, imo for convenience sake.
[Artificer, Chef, Huntsman, Jeweler, Weaponsmith]

It is said Chef is the most expensive craft to pursue due to ingredients found across the world as said by one of the devs.

For me my warrior was holding an axe and I was standing next to a tree, my first though was, why can't I chop it with my axe lol. Yeah I was wondering where to get the tools as well until I found one of the crafting trainer that sells them.

Also the karma points needed for some chef ingredient. What I don't like about cooking is that you will need a lot of space to store the extra mats like...ermm.. pie crisp? Need a lot of calculation before-hand or lots of bank tab upgrade tongue.gif I kinda gave up @ 57 due to bad inventory and bank space management doh.gif

I am going for Armorsmith/Weaponsmith, if I am going Guardian, or Leatherworking/Weaponsmith, if I am going Ranger, or Tailoring/Artificier, if I am going Mesmer... Maybe level Jeweler (and for Ranger, Huntsmen) on the sides, just for the kicks and accesorries..

ye, I haven't decided my class T_T

For me it's always warrior first, but quite hard to choose what class my 2nd char will be, I tried engineer, guardian, elemetalist and ranger and found all of them fun.

thinking of getting Guild Wars Platinum Edition for $19.99 which include full access to Guild Wars + Eyes of North and get HOM points to 30 or more biggrin.gif... but I think cannot find party to do many quest sad.gif... the game is almost empty !!.

The HOM points reward items are purely aesthetics only... but still looks cool and tempting biggrin.gif....and probably will see thousands of players wear the same HOM thing and won't be exclusive anymore ..lol. !!

Just so you know, you can send most materials you find directly to your bank. Right click or left click it, I forget.
