i'm using it for GW2 beta testing last weekend, so far so good for me.... not sure about other area coz i heard people having issue with maxis home 10mbps..

ping around 280-320 ms

GW2 cash shop is mostly cosmetics and convenience, not one that give you advantage over other player like most korean games...

Architecture — Purchase shared storage and increase the number of upgrades the guild can work on at once.
Art of War — Buffs used in WvW

Politics — Emblems, influence buffs, guild armor (? hmm, hopefully something cool), and party items.

let me cut this short... GW2 comes in 2 copy, EU for europe and NA for north america. to be able to register ( and then play) your account from Malaysia, you'll need to get the NA copy, even though the EU copy looks rm50 cheaper... just remember that...

from past experience, guild wars franchise business model was always about releasing new campaign almost every 6-12 month... do you thing it is going to be the same for gw2..? how long after the launch date do you think we'll have a new gw2 campaign ?

i'm not sure how fast is fast and how slow is slow, but i'm using SSD, i can say it took me around 10 sec or so to load i think...

much has been said in this thread about the GW2 copy whether player in malaysia should get the NA or EU version, and the general suggestion is that they should get the NA version, and still some people want to get the EU version. just take note that you've been advised here.

if later on the launched date you are able to play with it, good for you.
otherwise, if you can't play, good luck with contacting A-Net support.

after you register your account, can go to the account management page and over there got a link to download the client... you'll need to reserve a space of 25GB for it.... as of now the client size is 15GB, but may grow to 25GB when the game finally released....

you can download it straight away.. if you stop the download, the next time you launch the game, it will resume from where it stopped

pre-order ? for pre-order you'll get your game after the launch isn't it..? unless it is amazon pre-order, which i think they will send you the key that you can use to register your account immediately and send you the box later.... if it is local distributor pre-order, i would say after the game launch....

if it is pre-purchase, arenanet will send you the key immediately, and you can use it to register your account ...

EDIT:

for prepurchase, yes you get the 3 days headstart. for pre-order i don't quite sure how it works...
