This might be out of topic. But I noticed that Maybank is not showing MSOS code page for online transaction anymore? Or is it just me?

They do send me SMS to inform the transactions done..

MSOS, or Verified by VISA/MasterCard SecureCode will only appear on those websites that support this Verified by VISA/MasterCard SecureCode. On those websites that don't, your payment will just go through without you having to keyed in any PIN.

Actually, I applied for it. I know, the letter made it sound like they invited me, but it's not. smile.gif

Nah, just the long travel wallet/credit card holder thingy with zip. I did receive a Barry Smith passport holder, but that did not come with the Visa Infinite, it's for Private Banking.

wondering... if i swipe my amex in maxis for a phone, will we entitled for the 15% cash bank and 5% cash back?

cos the T&C is a lil bit confused...
meaning maxis iphone promo counted as qualified or non qualified?    hmm.gif
*
I bought my phone at Maxis and paid deposit using AMEX, qualify for the 5% cash back. I'm pretty sure it should qualify for the 15% cash back too.

They had the same thing 2 years ago (15% cash back at participating malls, end of 2009 and beginning of 2010) and I paid using my AMEX Gold Card, got the 15% promo cash back and 5x points.... :-)

According to Amex's Terms and Conditions:

The 15% Cash Back will be credited to the Principal Cardmembers’ card account only, which will be reflected within approximately eight (8) weeks after the Campaign Period (barring any unforeseen circumstances).

i realized this too.. last time MSOS need to key in password which you created.. for me, i always got it wrong and I need to call Maybank to reset the password.. but now i think Maybank change it to TAC style.. whenever I do online transaction from verified by Visa website, it will direct me to a page where i need to key in TAC, which the TAC will be given thru sms to my registered HP with Maybank2u..

Yes u can. Just insist to the receptionist (a.k.a cashier) that u want to pay full amount upfront. No deposit needed etc.

Done that regularly for my business travel. Of course it varies to each hotel, so be polite and ask to be entertained by supervisor/manager if the staff refuses.

there is a reason what it is called EMERGENCY contact, so obviously putting a fake contact is not a good idea. you can put your sister's or even your family members who are sharing your same address.
