tried numerous times to beat ghom, just cant get it
1. dps 35 k, att speed 1.8, hp 33k, ar 900, armor 5.5k, no loh, no ls
2. loh 900, ls 2.9%, hp 30k, ar 650, armor 6k, dps 25k

both gears with mantra healing, serenity, healing light...
any tricks or suggestions?

watched the vid yest, but there is no actual explanation on how and wat gear, no?

You can check with cowithgun or Quazacolt on the gears. I can't remember their build.

do u have CC and CD? I beat ghom with 20k dps i think with some CC and CD, probably LOH 300-400 only..lol. But I died like 15+ times before kill him..
You probably can do it easier..hehe.

with 6k armour and 650 AR u can use MoC+overawe liao. Also, use SW+cyclone lor. helps u kill faster. I used MoE and MoH few times but nowhere close to killing him..

U need to spot how he release his gas also, so your running and timing to avoid the gas not so damaging to u..haha.

kite is the key. If you don't have 2.4k LoH like what ALeUNe, or 100k dps like LifeX or so, kite.

run for ur life

CC ard 19~20, CD 200~250

when ghom life abt last qtr, the whole hall is fart filled. No where to run.

try to run clockwise or anti clockwise then u hit2 before the gas spread, make sure ghom chase u not u chase him..

You shouldn't run too far..else the gas will spread much wider. Just enough to avoid the gas and for him to come near u and hit him again.

maybe use 7ss also good now..give u more immunity time. use FOT+thunderclap and passive change to resolve/guardian path..

Dont run hit till die... I dont know what is suitable or min to kill ghom. This is attribute when I 1st time can kill ghom without running.

MoE + hard Target + Enchantress

Now I can kill him between 1 mins without running.

DPS 57k (unbuff)

MoC + overwave + Enchantress

Use deadly reach for middle range, don't use FoT.
Move only minimal range to avoid the fart. about 30degree should be around there.

I able to kill Ghom with hit and run style....please take note I got enchantress with me and my build was kind of 'average monk'. The key is hit it when he start to fart and u still have your Serenity ready to be used, can used it when your HP drop over 30% / 40%. If not, run and have other skill such as BoH pump up. Normally by this time Ghom will throw out his acid slime.....u just walk a distance away before killing off the acid slime.By the time if the Ghom is still not fart, I start to hit blinding flash and MoC. Hit it like no tomorrow. Continue the loop again.

Added on September 26, 2012, 11:36 amyou got almost twice the dps when i killed ghom on that video posted on first page. not to mention it was 1.0.3 pre 1.0.4 nerfbat to ghom. aka the ghom you're fighting now is a LOT easier, with you having almost twice the dps i had.

tldr: just learn how to kite

Sadly his from EU, if US can help kill already. LOL. No need to advice much. LOL.

I would advice you use MoE Hard Target as your DPS not that high, best dont use MoC, resist and live longer to fight another day. :-)

Rather then you add dmg, but sometimes crit dont come out and die faster as well.

If I'm not mistaken, the requirement to beat Ghom faceoff is hp 38K, ar 850, armor 7K, dps 31K & LoH 1500 + 5.+% ls. hehehe.
