Unifi is available at my area, at last. Just subscribe yesterday through an agent. The agent insist that I dont need to choose my own login name. What the.. I want to customise it the way I like. Better if I subscribe via online. But no matter. It's cool.

I want to be prepare for installation and most importantly to avoid extra charge. First, my situation:

1. Double storey terrace house.

2. I have in-building RJ45 cable and phone line from the balcony (in front) to every room and living room too including a phone line from there to downstair. I want to put BTU here and RG+STB+DECT downstair at living room.

4. The tm pole is directly behind my house.

Question:

1. Can I ask them to install the FTB as near as possible to the front balcony or they will choose the shortest place from the pole?

2. If they ever install the FTB at the back, is it at the first floor or second floor? I read somewhere, standard install is at first floor.

3. I would like to pull the cable over the ceilling up to the balcony in front (more or less 15 meter from back to front) if FTB is at the back. I read that they will charge for over the ceilling work, so I plan to climb it myself. I can do this, last time I do my own piping bypass in the ceilling myself. Pulling the cable will be much more easier. Will they allow this?

4. Related to 3 above, do it need to prepare a conduit inside the ceilling or the indoor fiber cable can be pull naked from FTB to FWS?

5. So they will NOT need to supply me any RJ45 cable and phone line cable, can I ask for it?

6. Due to the cable centre distribution point is outside of the house, will they allow for BTU there? The BTU will be safe from the rain etc but alas it's outside. If I told them, I'll install a box and put the BTU inside, will it be enough?

Pls advice. I'm want to make sure this installation free of extra charges.

Thanks.

Wired up but the distribution point all at balcony la bro. Why need to pull some more cable if all are ready. I just need to put the BTU near there. Btw, I'll put the BTU temporarily in plastic box and drill it up at the highest place and later I decided to make the balcony itself into study room. Anyone really have experience pls share, those who don't, save your advice, I have common sense.
