complained to tm about 10 times for 1 month cause they keep closing my report number. in the end they fixed something at the exchange box near my house and it's better now.

Seriously, UniFi online application suck to the max! mad.gif

I tried to apply online on my address, half way through they said got an issue contacting the server. Fine, I wait and try again later. Then they say this address is not UniFi serviceable. I can 100% confirm my area is within service coverage. Then I called them, they investigate everything for me and said, this address's port have been full. I was like WTF?!?!

None of my family member apply in this address, and it is a landed property. Why the hell will full, and I don't understand the reason they apply this rule? After a success application, then just remove this address from database, done story. Why got port thingy?

Then I asked, how can I do application then? They ask me to go TM Point. Then after go there, is just to report to them about the port full thing, not application yet. Then they will take about half a month just to clear port. Then I was like WTF again.

The thing now is, I need Unfi quite urgently, thats is the reason why I apply online and plan to make appointment end of the month. I apply half month earlier because I know their service will be SLOW....

They want me to go down to TM which is difficult for me who are in Singapore now. This sucks!

Since they know the port have been full, then they will have to add port immediately. But when I called them, they say need me go TM point report to them then only they will take action. WTH is this?!

u see the tm box? inside there are ports.
picture a router, 4 lan ports.

u have 4 pcs connected to all lan ports. that is what "port is full" means.

additional info : the fibre distribution unit (tm box) has a total of 7 ports inside. and it supports only 4~6 houses. that means one house in the area can have an extra line.

every tiang got 1 box right? so every tiang actually supports 7 houses, provided 1 line per house. but some users are selfish, house already gt but wan own line also. so 1 house use 2 port.

ur area might be congested, (alot of user) thats why no port available.

But since they have already realised that the port is full, then they will have to add more port isn't it?

They request me to make a report then only they willing to take action (add port). I understand port can be full. In the phone call, I asked them to add port so that I am able to apply. They insist me to make report for them to take action.

Yes that is what I will do for you but direct to their implementation/deployment team. If you go TMPoint sometimes the report doesnt go in or even made not made.

I will follow up and make sure they add port in your area.

Well, need to justify business case to add more port in that area. Just because one potential customer, doesn't mean they will add it immediately.

So, your written report will be more of a petition to add more ports in that area. More potential customers, the faster they will add ports... i'm sure most have experience this from the streamyx days...

Anybody know how to use bridge mode for this new L7 router? I am intending to use it with my Airport Extreme but can't for the life of me figure out how to configure it.

Many thanks in advance if anybody knows.

Got my first major issue with Unifi VIP5... all of a sudden today, the globe icon was amber/orange. IPTV also not working. I had this before, all I had to do is turn off the modem and router, and turn them back on. I did it, again and again, and it still couldn't connect to the internet. On weekends, I turn my computer on the whole day... perhaps the modem is finally not working. Installed in April 2012 I think.

Called TM and they said a technician will make an appointment with me. Darn it. I ask me neighbour two doors away who using Unifi, and they have no issues. Any idea what I could do to resolve it?

I tried to reset the router. I pressed the reset button beside the power for 10 seconds and then went into the D-Link setup page. I started the internet connection wizard and entered the details accordingly (password I had to call TM and ask them), but still couldn't connect.

I googled around and found that some folks resolved the issue by 'recreating' their internet connection like what I did above. Too bad... sad.gif

For TL1043, set up is easy, just run the cd and it guide you step by step.

May try Mikrotik if its better than TL1043.

BTW, which is the highest end model Mikrotik has (with wifi)  for unifi ??

I'm using MikroTik RB751G-2HnD wireless Gb router.
