hey guys , wanna ask on whats the method to limit other wireless user to not use that much of bandwidth/or control it , isit called QoS?

do you know u've been block/censor to access "certain" site due to dns... 

ping might be working but u can no more set the google dns server as your dns, if u do so your connection to the net totally not responding... 

I upgraded from current Streamyx to UniFi and the installation and service have been completed on Saturday, Oct 20, 2012. However, the job status as appearing in TM system is still "job in progress".

They requested me to call me after 24 hours after service completion and I called up on Monday, Oct 22 and the status is still the same.

Until now, I didn't get any information about my account details, including all passwords to access UniFi account, iptv, email etc.

I have been calling and sms the contractor to give me the details and they did not response to my sms.

Google DNS is working fine here in Seberang Prai, Penang. Can access all sites including xxx.

about the password , I have the same situation . When they installed that time , I was too excited    forgot to ask them login password , iptv , etc ... after that I emailed them for the info they sent the confirmation slip which was suppose to reach the customer before the installation , but I haven' received a thing .. but only contains login id , no password , so I have to find the password myself, other than that U can reset the password in the occ.unifi.my website (TM wifi / email etc)

Usually it's one the few passwords for the services. Or you can call them and ask I think.

u r wrong my friend. just look at india. a country that well developed of IT, yet all got quota even with wired internet connection. just be grateful for what u have in malaysia.blessed with lots of unlimited internet option such as streamyx. there, for 3Mbps unlimited internet, u have to pay rm300.such a BS. btw, im not an indian. just a malaysian student studying in india

and i download BT running @ 5mbps max
will my IPTV lag or it still function smooth?
reason i asking is my house having 6 pc running minimum and not yet include 5 tablet and smartphone connect to it

erm by using this method HERE if u know how to do , the telnet is not enable by default so , u need to login using the super admin to enable it then only can do

regrading about IPTV.
IPTV have it own dedicated line as well as our voip..
so it wont interrupt ur internet speed because it has is own dedicated line..
dont worry about that..

since ur house got 6 pc and 5 table and smartphone..
i suggest u buy other router that support unifi so that router wont so hang easily.

Lately I realised that my QVOD download speed is tremendously slow (10kbps) which normaly can easily 100kbps...does TM cap the speed for downloading?

On top of that, just wondering is there any applications or ways to limit the speed of the user? As I found out that my housemate are all heavy user, this cause my net surfing problem too....thinking to upgrade to 10mbps but not sure whether does it bring any improvement thereafter...
