If I opt for the trendsetter package, im entitled to 5% rebate for all dining, so any restaurants I visit during any time of the week, I am entitled to the 5%?

Also, what do I need if I were to apply at the centre at paradigm mall? How long would it take?

As for gst, possible to waive?

Hmm, I've used it for maybe 3 months or so... On the trendsetter package since I'm mainly using this card for food and shopping (most of the places I shop at are covered so yay!)

Not exactly a high spender, but on average I can get cashback of ~RM30 so that's pretty decent to me. The cashback is calculated at the end of the month, and credited into the account on the first day of the month.

What I like about it, is that there's no limitation on when I can get the cashback - some cards, only over the weekend, but I do most of the dining out on weekdays.

Applied this card on Friday's evening around 8pm at Pavilion. The guy was telling me to expect the approval within 15 minutes but who knows he called me around 10 minutes after that saying HLB needs to check further on my application as I'm holding more than 3 cards. He will only know the status on Monday.

I wasn't really happy because my annual income has far exceeded 36k which allows me to hold as many cards as I like. Well, I then told him I'm no longer interested and asked to cancel my application. I shouldn't be treated as if I'm begging for this card. He tried to persuade me and even when I told him I won't be going back to Pavilion purposely for this card collection, he said will get it sent to my office.

Let's see.

my friend had more than 36k per annum but they still rejected the application.
not sure the reason but din owe any money and only hold 2 cards.
i think the 36k can have more than 2 cards is not valid anymore.

It's been awhile since i reply this post. sweat.gif

Anyways, just to give you a hint on how they process your card application
how many cards you can hold also depends on the credit limit you're currently granted.

as banks know your credit rating through CCRIS.
they will know your joint limit for all the banks combined
and there's a threshold one cannot over exceed..
credit limit would be at max around (X times) of your salary depending on your job position, tenure at work, and many other criterias

so if your friend has 2 cards but already giving him 15k credit limit together
chances are it would be harder for him to get approval than someone who has 2 credit cards with 10k limit

hope it answers your question
cheers!

Not valid in which sense? It is still valid and applicable to the intended group according to BNM.

Received approval SMS yesterday and nearly forgot that I have applied one. laugh.gif I was outstation and came back on Monday.

Then, not long after the SMS came in, the agent in Pavilion also SMS-ed me that it will be delivered to my office.

Planning to get this card. With the impending GST, should I sign up after 1 April 2015? hmm.gif

If you swipe above RM 50 (if I am not mistaken) for the first 45 days, you'll get a GST rebate credited back to you. But then, April is just 2 weeks plus away tongue.gif

Got my card yesterday and activated already... I chose Trendsetter when I signed up, hopefully no error from HLB. laugh.gif I haven't received the pin yet to activate my account. It's always the painful part to wait for banks to send in pin. Most of the time it is either delayed or gone missing. I have been struggling with different banks just for this only.

Anyway, for this: 2% Cashback on Major Style outlets: Uniqlo, Cotton On, Esprit, Topshop, Topman, Forever 21, Zara, Converse, G2000, Charles & Keith

Is it only these places have 2% or there are more? Any list that I can refer to? However, with just a glance, I think most of the listed shops accept AmEx. tongue.gif

It follows calendar month right? That means March is the last month for Q1 and I can get maximum RM 100 if I spend RM 2k in dining only. laugh.gif

I think that's the whole list but I couldn't be bothered about the 2%. Amex or Watami will trump the Mach here.

Yup, calendar month. Spending 2K for dining in half a month sweat.gif

Yeah, then I don't need to bother la. laugh.gif

Just saying only, I won't reach that much. laugh.gif

This card will be my dining card if AmEx is not accepted and during weekdays. biggrin.gif
