I'm so disappointed with HLB now. Last month I forgot to pay my bill by one day and immediately paid off with IBFT.

I just realised my latest statement today which was issued 10 days ago that I am charged with late charges for all CC and BT accounts. Total: RM 142.30. doh.gif

I just called HLB about this that their policy has changed since 1st Oct and they no longer provide grace period for late payment. They used to give 4 days as confirmed by the CS. However, this communication is not shared with cardholders which I think fair because this kind of thing is for internal only.

Now I appealed for waiver as it's my first time and it cannot be done immediately until I clear off my latest statement which will due on 16th. Then only I will call back to request for waiver.

Though it's my mistake but I find this is too harsh for cardholders. I cannot recall other banks are doing this? I learnt the hard way but you all need to take note with HLB from now onward.

Has anyone use this card to topup bigpay? Do we get 1% cashback for internet or 0.2% for others?

Well, not sure if I can win a case here because it's indeed my fault for paying a day late. sad.gif

yeah, it's clearly stated in the terms and conditions. just because the banks did not execute the terms and conditions before this, it doesn't make it a right for users who took this for granted. however, can always appeal and ser

All of you know is your fault, why still want to escalate to BNM?

The grace period is bank option to give to customer who pay late. But, this is no a must to give.

You can choose to request waiver and wait for bank decision.

Do not be too much to complaint bank do not inform the change of grace period like is bank fault and not your fault.

I have a situation that will be approaching.
My Mach card will reach anniversary in May 2019.
I have ongoing BT with them with the latest date to end is in July 2019.

I heard Mach will not renew the card therefore i assumed it will be deactivated.
The BT should be continue as usual since it's a different account number uniquely.

Secondly, i assume i won't need to pay SST if this card is discontinued.

no you must have other HLB if want to cancel Mach card if still got BT. My case first cancel card due to anniversary coming the CS accept. Then other HLB staff call back cannot have BT with no CC from HLB. Lucky i belom cut card. She activate back Mach and waive SST rclxms.gif

If this true that bank will not renew the card for existing cardholder which reach anniversary year ??

My expired date on 01/21, mean by next year Jan-2019, the card will deactivate it ?

Aeon and ambank are quite strict. Miss 1 day and ccris will mark '1', and interest charged accordingly.

Ocbc got 1 time i forgot to pay for 1 month, just had to pay late fees, no impact on ccris.
