Planing to do engine transplant to 1.5 ! 1.3 really no Oomph lar !!!
Btw, really feeling to get a RPM meter !!! But so far the price is not sastifying yet !!! Anyone knows how far can a Wira's engine being push to ??? I mean how many thousand RPM.
*
Bro, dont transplant to 1.5 SOHC, coz it's not much different, sooner or later u'll find that it's no Oomph anyway.. sweat.gif

If u insist to change, get a 1.5 DOHC at least, the Oomph would be much much better.. smile.gif

For stock wira 1.3 and 1.5 engine, i think the max also around 6K-6.5K rpm.. so what for u wanna get a RPM meter? (wira 1.3L got original RPM meter? sweat.gif )

note: not bashing, coz i drive one myself

juz now while on my way back near my house there was accident between a wira and a bmw 3 series. the wira front part 70% gone and the bmw juz some slight dents on the bumper. i was like WTF?!! neways, no bad meaning here juz feel like telling it.

p/s : if u guys want me to remove it, its ok with me, can edit it anytime.
*
lol.. if u didnt witness the accident then u better not judge based on what u saw.. it is not neccesarry that the wira is straight collision head to tail with bmw rite sweat.gif

yo bros.... my cousin saw this one wira advertised, for under RM40k, only 7 months years old. is the depreciation value too much?
from my opinion, it's quite a good buy since the car already going cheaper, by at least RM8-10k and just mature on the road.
I never owned a wira before, so totally have no experience (or interested to know about) on wiras.
what you guys say? brows.gif

how far being pushed?mine close to 170kmh..now sure at how much rpm..as all 1.3 has no rpm meter..wakakaka..i was also tempted to get an rpm meter..but i guess it doesnt really matter now..unless you love to drag..

I am using an old (>10 years) Wira 1.6XLI here, black in colour
FC is okay (full tank can reach 550km/h, normal drive 80-100km/h)and fully stock, top speed was 180km/h on KESAS highway

Max power will be at 6000rpm, so if I drag I will push my 1st 2 gears till 6.5K rpm and then let the overdrive do the rest of the job (3rd gear)

Recently after change black oil, FC was terrible, cannot go as high as b4 liao, dunno wat happen, it is my mum's car anyway tongue.gif Issit due to the black oil? I don't know wether that guy use 15W or less, all I see is the Castrol GTX brand on it only tongue.gif
What is the best 1 to take for black oil for longer mileage? 10W/12W?

Agreed.....
Goes for 1.6.... for 1.6 body is better...
i mean road holding as well as cornering.....
4-discs all round also...
better shocks and suspensions

But the main problem of 1.6 Wira is the Auto Gearbox having problem every 80k to 100k KM.....

C99 chasis is the stiffest also closes to MMC's Lancer chasis as it's double welded and double layer thumbup.gif

May I know how much you spend for soundproofing. Do you DIY or send it to workshop. What kind of stuff you used, vibramat. Very interested la. I heard that autofoam also is good for improving the NVH.
My 1.3 speed above 100 and the engine sound, tyre sound so loud and need to increase speaker volume. What a headache.
