Planing to do engine transplant to 1.5 ! 1.3 really no Oomph lar !!!
Btw, really feeling to get a RPM meter !!! But so far the price is not sastifying yet !!! Anyone knows how far can a Wira's engine being push to ??? I mean how many thousand RPM.
*
how far being pushed?mine close to 170kmh..now sure at how much rpm..as all 1.3 has no rpm meter..wakakaka..i was also tempted to get an rpm meter..but i guess it doesnt really matter now..unless you love to drag..

QUOTE(KeonG118 @ Jan 25 2006, 03:26 AM)
Bro, dont transplant to 1.5 SOHC, coz it's not much different, sooner or later u'll find that it's no Oomph anyway..  sweat.gif

If u insist to change, get a 1.5 DOHC at least, the Oomph would be much much better.. smile.gif

For stock wira 1.3 and 1.5 engine, i think the max also around 6K-6.5K rpm.. so what for u wanna get a RPM meter? (wira 1.3L got original RPM meter?  sweat.gif )

*
yeap..get a dohc..as a 1.3 driver...memang no powerrrrrr....but im satisfied with it lor..just that the car's handling is a lil out..yucks..

i believe max out at 6.5 also..though i dont know.. =P
if i had the cash..i'd go for a 1.6 instead... 1.3 doesnt have any rpm meter..suxxor

i would go for 1.6 mivec rather than 2.0 turbos.. =P
first..50% road tax.. XD
second..fuel economy..lol

just my opinion.. =P

to all wira sifussss..i've asked this question before..but still its a mystery to me laugh.gif

urm..okay..i would wanna know where is a reliable accesory shop to repair/buy new center lamp inside the car..y'know?the one where you open the doors and the light comes on..yeh..that particular lamp....and how much...prefer not those 10bux chapalang ones.. hehehe.. =P

next is the meter panel..i know some wira owners have these problems :
-fuel meter unreliable
you can rely on the meter to show how much fuel left coz its so random..sometimes full..sometimes empty..sometimes it shows "exact" fuel..only have to rely on the petrol light when there's low fuel...

some "diagnosed" the fuel meter to be faulty..some says the float in the tank..some say the wire behind the meter panel...what say you? =P

-temperature meter unreliable
sometimes it works..sometimes it stays down and not show tempreture..

is there any way to repair the all 3 above?and their estimated price?

regarding the meter panel..is it wise to change to a 1.5 above meter panel or just repair it?coz no one know exactly what is the main problem especially the fuel meter..

Hmm look like evo3 panel too...

Why not get the whole dashboard change to those found in Evo3. Get yourself a digital air con controller... so nice...
*
i cant..im on a really tight budget..plus..this car isnt mine..

Too bad then, cause the interior of that Evo3 dashboard really took my eye off. It might share the same design till today Wira SE, yet with the LCD panel of controlling your aircon and ventilation position... really look cool.

Why not later get a halfcut engine of Mivec 4g92 DOHC. Get around 147bhp on stock brows.gif
*
yeah..i would like to get one..when i have the cash..and the mivec too..its my dream mod..however..with my current state..its still far away =/

@Tainted,
all wira's before 2000/2001 are on mitsu ecu, they are smart .. not like those siemens which i had on mine.

@kazami,
i think you should send ur ride to a mech n do some checkup .. my old 1.8L corolla (manual) dont drink that much of petrol. 50 buck can do 280km ++

@lee831219
do you know which wire to tap from ecu for the rpm ?

@madman20
to plug in the lancer meter, you need to rewiring, coz mitsu is mitsu and proton is proton .. both diffrent thing smile.gif
*
thanks dude..so DIY-ing is tougher than i thought..any accesory shop or mech shop around klang valley you guys know which are reliable on installing this?
