Stock Wira up till 160km/h already highly strung.
To be frank, it's not good at drag or pick-up.
But the combination of low centre gravity + gear ratio at 3th,4th & 5th gear makes it very good at maintaining speed even during corners.

I drive stock Wira 1.3Gli 2002, everything almost stock, only change the tyre to ducaro Ga. About the top speed, I had reach around 160 at PLUS higway, straight lane from Kuala Kangsar to Taiping. But not for long coz at that time driving at night feel boring. Suddenly came one Wira 1.5 with 4 adult speeding past me, so join him to encounter my boring. I manage to 160. Feel scary, everyting shaking...after 2-3 min I slow down and let the wira past me. He drove around 140-150.
Thank goodness nothing happened. sweat.gif
I don't think i will reach that speed again. Better be late than never. thumbup.gif

tried once up to 160 vs satria r3....btw, i'm driving a wira se 1.5GLi, family car fully stock.....

I can manage to go 175kmh on my wira 1.5 manual (aircon-off)
It can still rev higher but I did do so as at 175 it's revving at 5.5K RPM.
In order for you to achieve high speed, I got an open pod air filter (K&N) to fed in more air into the combustion chamber. Besides that, i used Shell V-Power at that time because this fuel can burn more efficiently compared to the ordinary fuel at high rev. Coupled with good springs and absorbers from Koni & Apex (lowered 50mm), the car is rock stable at high speed.

Hello, I am driving a 2000 1.5 auto wira.

What I can say about the car is that the pick up is really slow - even at full throttle.

FC is quite okay. Full tank about 30+ litres (about RM45-RM50), can go for 350KM and a little bit more.

The backseat is spacious, comfortably fitting 3 adults.

Oh if your power window fails, put some lubricant (like motor oil) on both ends of the window then it'll work flawlessly.

Wira 1.5 auto transmission only has 3 speed/gears. That is why you feel the car is sluggish during pick up. Other cars with auto tranmission has 4 speed/gears.

try to pump your tank full next time, you wont be able to gauge your FC or mileage when you pump 10-20 buck worth of petrol..

mine .. RM50(1.61/liter) = 500KM~544km 1.3(M)
