they got rulez to make you stop kacau the marketing. If you put price so low...the JAL and ANA will suffer.

Same as New PC Games in Japan all starting price are 8850...You cannot lower than 8850 Yen.

Everything got the bottom line...you cannot put the price so low beyond the bottom line

guys, i'll be going to japan for 2 to 3 months for work.
i would like to rent a phone when i'm there and i read around that i can rent one at the airport.

is there anything i need to be weary about when i do so? I mean in terms of giving them my CC to charge it to.

Airport phones and SIM cards for tourists can be troublesome and expensive, limited models available. Using CC not risky.

Assuming you are working legally, you should take your papers to any phone shop on the street and buy a prepaid or contract. Better to go with J-fren, especally if you need language help. Maybe even your J-fren can register it for you if you give it back to him when you leave.

I would like to stay in Japan for 2-3 months. But is that possible? Because if I am staying in my friend's house the visa would be troublesome. (It requires my friend's passport which is confidential.) My friend wouldn't willing to give me a copy of it.

Thus, I am thinking that if I get a hotel confirmation and apply. After I got the visa, I cancel the hotel room. The hotel doesn't need any deposit for reservation so I can stay at my friend's house. Is that fine? Or the embassy will track my itinerary?

PS: I've entered Japan twice, but with my old passport.

Hi guys, I'm going to Tokyo from 12 Nov to 16 Nov by AAX. Currently working on itenaries by reading this thread (currently on page 50 of version 1) and lonely planet guide book. However, just to get a quick feedback as I'm planning to book the hotels first. My flight is expected to land around 11.10 p.m. Hence, is it advisable for me to book a hotel room on that night as I worried that I might missed the last train/subway/bus from the airport to tokyo city. From what I read, last bus is on 12.30 a.m. correct?

Thanks for all feedbacks given.

That would be my last option as from what I read, next morning can be tiring and no mood to go sightseeing. Actually I don't mind but don't know my wife can tahan or not smile.gif If I go with my friends sure overnight there, can save hotel cost for one night tongue.gif

Need advice on airport transferring:

Landing at Haneda around 11-ish PM, is it possible to transfer straight to Narita using public transport (taxi excluded)? I plan to fly in and transfer to Narita to catch my flight to Sapporo which departs at 6:45 AM.

If not possible, then looks like it'll be one day at Tokyo. sweat.gif
