Hi, all, any bro here using Plex apps to use as a media player and play hd file to LG TV? I've install Plex in my macbook air, tv also able to detect iy, but just don't know how to use it...just don't know how to add file to it....  any bro can advise?

thanks...

In my windows PC, I open up my Plex Media Manager by right clicking on the Plex system tray icon. From the Media Manager (browser link), just click on Movies or TV shows, or Music... It will ask you to choose the directory where your respective media is. Once you specified the directory, it will download all the relevant info and you will be able to see it from your TV.

Plex is really wonderful and beautiful, too bad LG decided to stop development for its LG TV client.

How is your mac and TV connected to your router? If any of them are wireless, check out the signal strength. Is it very far from the router? I would suggest that at least one of them be connected with cable.

The plex client on iPad can scale down the quality, so the streaming requirements can be less for iPad.

If you are still using the ISP provided wifi router, I would suggest that you upgrade to something better, like TP-link's 5dbi wifi routers. Aim your antenna towards your TV (you need to google on how to 'aim' it, but basically its the sharp end of the antenna must be perpendicular towards your TV). These wifi routers can use third party antennas, even directional antennas which give excellent reception if you direct it properly. Use the program inssider and check your signal strength at various areas of your house to know where you need to aim your antennas.

You can also try to use a LAN cable for your TV to router. If cabling is not available, try the homeplugs which are LAN over the power point.

Btw, why are you accessing using smart share? You should be using Media Link which is the Plex client. Smart Share is just a normal DLNA client, no beautiful overlay with that.

Happy new year!

Its been 2months+ since i got my LM6700, watched many 3D BD titles with this tv, loving it so far...

Now i do prefer watching 3D at home than cinema  biggrin.gif

Actually it save us $$$ on costly 3D cinema tics. Now I watch normal 2D movies in cinema while grab 3Ds bd for home rematch. It's a whole new experience. It's similar 3D concept with use of also same 3D polarized specs. biggrin.gif

I noticed there are some blur/dark lines or distorted pixel horizontal (appear at same location) when watching Astro SQ. (no Astro HD)

It only happened when I connected to RCA or AV Input devices...... no problem at all for all HDMI input devices

Has anyone came across this problem and is there any solution?

Anyway, I've called LG customer support this morning to report on this.

my TV model is 55LM6200

thanks

Sorry bro, mine is wall mounted, quite hard to plug in the AV for testing. I only use HDMI input into the tv.
