Hi guys, New 55LM6200 owners here. Actually i only wanna find out about the optical output whether to direct all my devices to the TV & 1 optical input to my philips HTS. Got my answer in this thread. So better use the astro byond coax direct to my HTS too rite?
Should have do more homework to get the best price. i bought it from TBM bangsar village for RM6099. Homework only with big retail shop & TBM offer the lowest price. I didnt even read the newspaper last week about the RM5399 price. Demit.
Envy you guys with the 6700 sleek design. TV will arrive tomorrow (delay 1 day due to stock availability). Add on wall bracket & 2 pair (initially i thought should be 1 pair) dual play glasses for my kids. So there are kids size 3D glass huh for ~RM40? Will look at the ebay. The adult glass really big when my kids tried them at the showroom.
Been aiming philips 5500 due to my HTS (obviously due to it's price) but luckily ended up with you guys LG owners after tech spec comparisons.

Thanks. I thought i read earlier about the TV unable to 'process' the HDMI input from other devices & trasmit lower quality sound from it's optical out.
I hate it when i need to unplug/replug the optical cable to switch between my ACryan & PS3 to my HT(only has 1 optical in). Or now got optical selector like the AV selector ?(3in & 1out where we can switch to select the AV input)
Added on September 18, 2012, 6:55 pmMy HT dun has HDMI in. Only 1 optical in & 1 coax in

Just received my 55LM6200 last nite. No magic remote, do i need 1?
@Rafayel, I think same as 6700, it only has 1 audio out which is the digital optical (luv this as i dun need to switch to coax for my HT when i watch astro byond). Might have 3.5nn jack like for the headphone i guess, need to check the specs again.
Mounted mine with the wall bracket. Luckily choose 55", if not sure look small for my 17' x 20' living room.
Just 1 Q, can any wireless router work without the phone cable? Wanna use the home sharing connectivity. Dun have any unifi or streamyx yet for the smart tv features.
1st time watching barca playing in 3D few hrs ago.

QUOTE(rafayel @ Sep 20 2012, 09:25 AM) Regarding the wireless question... U can only connect to anything that had wifi signal... Just setup my wireless router. Will try later on after come back from work. If able to use the LG Magic apps, maybe i dun need to buy the real one... My simple family house. Last minute re-route the astro byond cables. Original location of my previous TV was exactly in-front off the living room window

Guys,
Got 1 prob with my media player (AC ryan) where the audio is lag a bit. Already ON the AV Sync & set at -5(Min) for the SPDIF but still lag. Tried Bypass or OFF the AV Sync yet still prob. My other inputs which are Byond & PS3 also got audio lagged but problem solve after i set the AV Sync to -5. I didnt use the TV speaker & didnt check whether it is ok if using TV speaker. Before this no problem & no need to sync if i directly output the digital optical audio from my media player to my HT. Any heads up?

QUOTE(cstkl1 @ Sep 24 2012, 05:48 PM) Its -5. Suspect 0.5 seconds for each level. NOT 5 minutes dude. Use ure tv speakers to sync the sound, subs and mouth movement. Min = minimum. So need to use tv speakers. Well, gotta live with it then as i prefer to use my HT.

Thanks bro, Improve a bit after i disable the tru-motion. My HT only can delay the sound, can't set for faster/earlier.
Hmm. Tried use as HDD direct to HT, which means audio directly to it's own HT speaker & video from HT to TV, supprisingly the audio is still lag.
Finally tried as HDD direct to TV & problem solve. The audio came out from the HT no more lag. No need to AV Sync too. Just no DTS from the TV.

QUOTE(szern @ Oct 1 2012, 01:29 PM) Hrmm.. tried to play an MP4 file via USB on the LG LM6700, doesn't seem to want to play. Streaming via Plex works. Anybody else faced the same issue? My LM6200 can play .mp4 file via the USB port

QUOTE(elev11n @ Oct 4 2012, 12:13 PM) thx again Xstan~ after read all the forumer's comment/tips/etc. in this thread, think i now know which model should i get . sometimes we are 'blinded' by the big brands out there " What the eyes see and the ears hear, the mind believes " - Harry Houdini Maybe you can see other threads on Samsung TV... They might highlighted other Samsung pros... For me price do matters so no to Samsung... Anyway, i think i made the right choice by choosing LG... Just not at the right better/price since there are other shops selling at lower price..

QUOTE(geforce1999 @ Nov 1 2012, 02:42 PM) Can anyone check for me that power consumtion of 42LM6700 and 47LM6700? Or LM7600 series? Can't seem to find that in the LG sites. Added on November 1, 2012, 3:19 pmEven the Manual ask to refer to the label attached to the product for the power consumption  You can find it at the URL link posted in the earlier page regarding tv calibration.. But not from LG This post has been edited by decavalera: Nov 2 2012, 07:48 AM

QUOTE(geforce1999 @ Nov 5 2012, 07:03 AM) Still considering if I should purchase a 47LM7600 for living room for its dual play function that I can enjoy better game view on Xbox 360 with my kids and shift the existing Samsung 46" TV to study room.... or simply to get a smaller size 32" LCD to repace the 29" CRT in the study room... Used the dual play feature when playing the latest resident evil ps3, felt a bit irritated since i need to position my place at an exact position so that my view will not be interfeared by the other player's view... Maybe 6700 or 7600 has better view..

QUOTE(genOcide117 @ Nov 5 2012, 04:19 PM) I bought an LG tv that supports dual play... but the TV only includes 4 pcs 3D glasses. No dual play glasses. Where can i buy the dual play glasses? Bought mine at about rm60 from TBM where i bought my LM6200.. But after 1 month +, still no stock.. Luckily managed to poison my brother in law & he bought LM7600 where inclusive the dual play glass... So pinjam dulu... Added on November 5, 2012, 6:35 pmQUOTE(geforce1999 @ Nov 5 2012, 10:14 AM) Really? Look like i need to try it out before making the purchase as personally I don't think high end model will get any better as it is only using polarized glasses for that effect... Thanks for the info. Yes, you should try it out 1st. Maybe its just me cuz my brother seems ok with it... This post has been edited by decavalera: Nov 5 2012, 06:35 PM

QUOTE(franson @ Nov 13 2012, 11:57 PM) What abt lm4610? Is this model picture quality same as lm6200 but without internet? You can always check the LG website. But 4610 MCI is 100hz compare with 6200 MCI which is 400hz. What it means & quality wise, for me layman wise, higher should be better...

QUOTE(hmwong @ Nov 26 2012, 10:34 PM) Please convince me that the LM7600 is much noticeable better than the LM6700. Still undecided and need expert's My judgement only on the price tag by the big retailers, esp the diff between 6700 & 7600... Price wise i think good bargain for 900... Technically or real time exp wise, sorry havent do the comparison
