Just got back my SIII from LowYat Service Center last night. They've changed my receiver, speaker and reflashed my firmware too. Everything in just 1.5 working days. Now I could hear clearly and comfortably ~

QUOTE(tommyfai @ Jul 4 2012, 04:44 PM) Check your Gmail, Sync and other settings like email, weather app etc. If you leave it to check every 1 hour or so then it sucks up battery like mad. For me, all mail sync are manual and I only allow Sync to sync my Google contacts list. As for Playstore, I set to sync on WiFi only. |

QUOTE(wpl84 @ Jul 4 2012, 02:34 PM) S3 is much better than the ipong... so true! that is so irritating. s3 do not have these kind of problem, right? ipong too much restrictions. I want to send photos, musics or videos via bluetooth pun tak boleh. Icons all cramped too close together due to the smaller screen size. Settings need to go to the settings icon all the time, no shortcut. troublesome. each time click on a youtube/ certain link, it auto pops up another app. then want to close running apps... u slowly satu2 press the X button. QUOTE(alkt @ Jul 4 2012, 02:35 PM) iPhone, charged twice a day. ahh, ic, other than the battery, any other weakness u observed so far?S3, charged once almost every 1 1/2 days. same style of usage, some fb, whatsapp msgs. |

QUOTE(FallenOut @ Jul 4 2012, 03:53 PM) QUOTE(blinky @ Jul 4 2012, 04:14 PM) Guys, this might be a stupid question. It just a launcher, it won't affecting your apps, except some widget special design for touchwiz not working, like that accuweather. Go Launcher not bad - lot customization, if you want pure ICS feel, then Nova Launcher Prime is great. But is GO Ex Launcher good? Will I still be able to use features like the S Voice if I use the GO Launcher? Thanks. QUOTE(RedDevils88 @ Jul 4 2012, 04:18 PM) does ur video preview thumbnails animated? do they play the preview of the movie on ur gallery? mine doesnt seem to move at all Yup, it preview for me in Video Player only.QUOTE(tommyfai @ Jul 4 2012, 04:18 PM) haha thats funny though.. but to be honest, the only thing is my battery life. normal use but can only last half day.. plagued by the cell standby thingy.. hope samsung can fix it though.. other than that, its still awesome.. And surprise it is under Oxford. Nothing to fixed in battery, as nothing wrong on it. Check your widget or whatever background running that hunt for battery life. Those notification and auto updates hunting power. This post has been edited by Andrewtst: Jul 4 2012, 04:59 PM |

For me, all mail sync are manual and I only allow Sync to sync my Google contacts list. As for Playstore, I set to sync on WiFi only. I don't have any mobile data so i off EVERYTHING that requires internet.I'm very very sure that my settings are optimum for maximum battery life. I hardly turn on my wifi, and i turn off wifi when i am not using it. I suspect that the app that may be sucking up my battery = Beautiful Widgets. I have the clock+weather widget set up on my homescreen. I set the update interval to 1HOUR. I didn't think it was the cause since i dont have mobile data. Now i have tweaked the update interval to manually, gonna try and see if it makes a difference. Probably gonna have to wait till night time when i go to bed to try it. Will report back with the results tomorrow |
