Looks like Asus SC here is not prepared to handle rma issues for Nexus 7. All devices for warranty claims will just be sitting there collecting dust. They don't even know when spareparts are available & whats the turnaround lead-time for the fix. Really hard not to equate Asus SC with Proton SC. doh.gif

well u are like returning Nissan Leaf to Nissan SC now while Leaf is not selling in Msia yet
cant complaint about this

2) can anyone help me to list down the checklist for the hardware defects and ways to check?

3) wat shud i look out when i open the device for the 1st time?

thanks for anyone that can answer me =)

Any international adaptor will do.
Its really cheap. Less than RM 10. Buy in hardware shop or mr Diy.
If u have a voltage regulator at home high chance it can support international plug too.

First obvious thing to check is dead pixel.
Screen lift, test speaker.

Or you could just google "soccer chelsea" for a few times, then it will come out automatically, as what I have done for previous version. smile.gif

CNA 3.4.1 rom I must say is a disappointment over 3.3.2. I faced some slight freezes occasionally especially on browsing. So last 2 days i switch to EOS 27 aug nightly build. this was the first rom i tested on the N7. It is less well featured vs CNA rom but very stable
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1777586

Anyway CNA has now released his nightly build. The latest build is dated 29 Aug. I am now downloading it
Download it here

most of the dead pixel test will give u single color screen

eg full red screen etc

if u see any other color in the screen, further confirm by changing to other color to see is the pixel dead

ok ok, i'll be more specific.

1. go to gallery, scroll through some pics. look at the screen at close range, observe got any dots on the screen that is static and forever stuck at the same color or not.

2. see the tablet from the sides. see the screen got come out abit or not. its suppose to be same level at the bazel.
if unsure, just compare left and right side see same or not. usually the left side is lifted.

3. load youtube or just play any sound at maximum volume. if got weird noise or cracking sound, means speaker spoil. compare the same sound at low and max volume.

there, specific enough? blush.gif

display a pure white image .
If you see black spot between them , its dead pixel .

Nexus have about urm...... 1million pixel .
I don think you can see one dead pixel unless there is afew together .

USB speakers works well with this tab,
U can plug it to the USB n the go cable.

Its so much louder and cleared than default speaker.
A big finding for me since my speaker is muffled,

Now can watch videos comfortably.

Ever occurred to you to do a search? If not here, maybe on Google? Your questions are general questions, not requiring specific details of a particular case. So ask Google for such general questions next time. And don't get too used to spoon feeding. Never benefited anyone really. icon_rolleyes.gif

That is supported since JB especially Nexus 7, what it lacks is usb audio dac support. Which will improve the sound quality. I wonder why SGS3 has this feature but not Google own device. hmm.gif
