That is supported since JB especially Nexus 7, what it lacks is usb audio dac support. Which will improve the sound quality. I wonder why SGS3 has this feature but not Google own device.  hmm.gif

erm, not sure what are you talking about. usb audio dac support?

basically my nexus 7 speaker is screwed, cant go louder than 40% or sound will get totally cracking.
thought of buying a portable speaker, but those not cheap and require their own battery.

what i use is normal PC usb powered speaker, dig from my storeroom, lol...

i plug the power source to the usb on the go cable, so it receive power from nexus 7,
and the audio cable to nexus 7 audio jack.

its working fine and can go really loud.
biggrin.gif so happy.

long long ago i tried with my sgs2, but phone battery not enough to power usb speaker.
so glad nexus7 one can work. if not i stuck with soundless tablet laugh.gif

The put the cheap one inside, at least give the kernel support for USB DAC so the sound can pass through to it for audiophile quality.

true also...

btw my friend said the sound quality on his S3 is better than his Iphone4s with his Shure...so I think Samsung did a good job on the DAC thingy

How do you know it will give you good sound when the thing is not even publicly available? Did you audition it already?

Man you are a f***ing salesman. LOL.

yeah, there is a kernel that runs on stock speed.
just release 2 days ago.

its called franco kernal.

is this guy like a superstar in xda?
never seen him before. he has 13k thanks, super amazing. shocking.gif

but his kernel so advance, abit troublesome to flash.
its not a cwm zip, need to go bootloader, use adb something to flash.

luckily the nexus toolkit got a GUI to do so, easily done like using odin in samsung phones.
yeah yeah thumbup.gif

expecting good battery life starting from tomorrow.
the default cna kernal really bad battery and warmer than stock rom.

My experience completely different
Not hot average mid thirties even with continuous prolong use
Excellent battery life
Combine w Trinity kernel
But latest version including nightly 30aug browser sometime freeze slightly
So since yesterday I switch to euroshank jellybro cm10. Very smooth n battery equally good

Surprise you don't know franco. Well known in sgs phones n nexus phones. Get his paid app for more kernel features

i was using the default kernal bundled with CNA.
that kernal is overclocked, warmer.
hmm.gif why is this hard to believe? higher clock speed = warmer = less battery.
i'm not making this up here. it stays at 1.4GHz during intensive task.

havent tried trinity because that requires paid app to control it right?
dont like to pay for a kernel, unless absolutely no other choice.
i'm guess your trinity kernel is nicely tweaked and optimized for battery&performance

franco kernel is true to the description, running at stock speed,
cpu spy proves it, stays at 1.2GHz at high use.
i dont feel the placebo effect of any rom/kernal is faster/smoother,
but i definitely feel the slightly warmer tab. so i'm happy with this now. icon_rolleyes.gif

franco is well known in sgs1 and galaxy nexus?
i only own sgs2, tab10.1 and nexus7, no wonder never seen him before.
13k thanks is really alot, he must be really really senior and awesome.
good to see such great developer for nexus 7 as well.
