My iTunes 13014 error after I updated it. I got my library on the external drive, must be that causing the error?

QUOTE(limhongwoon @ Sep 24 2012, 09:55 AM) I heard that people say if I install window 7 on Macbook , and it will lag when running the window 7 I have been installing Windows 7 via BootCamp on my previous cMBP units, MBA and now on rMBP.The lag I feel is just the same like on my non-Apple laptops. Nothing especially different. QUOTE(BRY7 @ Sep 24 2012, 10:37 AM) Windows 7 will see a really significant improvement when using SSD since the OS is heavily dependant on disk-reads for performance. QUOTE(beelze_gpwk @ Sep 24 2012, 11:12 AM) is there a version of Windows which will not lag? haha... IMHO, Windows 7's performance is quite good already; I would say even on par with Mac OS X in terms of performance. And Windows 7 BootCamp is a total must for gamers. Dota 2 is running like a dream on my rMBP. luckily i do not really need windows anymore... on my way of getting my first mac... can't wait! |

There's always a point. Take BRY7, he uses his rMBP mostly to surf net. For me, I use my rMBP to surf net and work as well, but I could always use a Windows laptop for it. Bottom line: If your job pays you well enough to get a Mac, just go for it. The experience is what counts. |

My point is, if he's going to use it primary for Window software engineering study, what for stuck at limited spec like rMBP laptops when you don't use OSX, might as well spend the bucks for a high end Window laptop lah. C'mon, RM6k-7k you can get very powerful Window laptop already, probably higher spec than my rMBP lah Added: If he wants to buy a mac just because he wants to own a mac like other people then I have nothing to say This post has been edited by edwardgsk: Sep 24 2012, 01:22 PM |

C'mon, RM6k-7k you can get very powerful Window laptop already, probably higher spec than my rMBP lah Here we go again.. Mac = - Class-leading battery life (for its weight), - Mag-Safe, - Glass Multi-Touch Trackpad, - Awesome Performance-to-Weight Ratio (rMBP, MBA), - Reliability (from most reports, Macs are the most reliable of all), - Durability (Unibody Aluminium construction), - Style (Need I say more on this? - Engineering Finesse (The electronics are designed to perfection compared to other Windows notebook where most of them are like 'rojak' inside. - Best Keyboard in a laptop ever. - Luxurious Materials (Glass and Aluminium), - etc. The above would be more than reason enough for anyone to buy a MacBook even just for surfing the net or typing email, compared to a Windows laptop. And the price of the MacBook? Very worth it!!! ... oh waiittt.. Ok. Time for my lunch now, BRB. |

Before I booked my Macbook Pro Retina Display, I seriously considered alternative Windows Notebook.
The truth is those Windows notebook closer to MBP RD specs with 16Gb RAM, discrete graphic card, 2.6ghz Intel Chip with 256GB SSD are hard to come by. Those closer to these specs will end up being too heavy and chunky like Lenovo Y580, Alienware.... And most of the windows Notebook screen is still up to 1080p only. I wonder why all the HP, Dell, Samsung, Asus, Acer, Lenovo do not produce slim, light, good looking notebook with high specs like MBP Retina Display. |

No, gaming laptops are always not good options for serious work. Gaming means gaming. It is better to get workstation level laptop like ThinkPad. |

well it kinda depends on your budget to begin with, den would be your preference. cant exactly say, if you need windows, or if you dont 'need' to use OSx den you shud get a windows laptop.
apple has a way of getting people wanting their product, based on the way they link one product to another: airplay etc. and there is always the OSx experience which i personally think has much better user interface and more intuitive than windows. specs wise, apple laptop doesnt exactly lose out that much with the same amount of money you are paying. if you are someone that cares too much of what is written on paper (spec list) rather than how it performs, den perhaps you are abit blinded. |
