Seems like the RMBP is very damn easy to get scratched. Do you guys use any case/skin (back case, lid cover, keyboard cover, etc) of sorts to prevent scratches? Which should I get and where can I find them?

thumbup.gif You're welcomed!

It seems that Apple fails every time they try to make their devices as slim and portable as they can, coz their endusers always end up wrapping it with permanently attached casings that bulks the thickness up back to what it was shaved off previously.

laugh.gif Thats always true.

People always give me that look when i take out my iPhone 4s , my iPad or my MBA without any casing as if it will crumble by a single touch.

Unfortunately because of that, nice sleeves are hard to come by for iPad and MBA.

Sleeves is best. You cover it temporarily, then remove it out to use, maintaining that advantage of slimmer form factor, then place it back in the sleeve for protection when moving it around again.

I like the iconic design identity of the MBA/MBP. Encapsulating it in matte plastic in multitude of rainbow color denies that design identity and makes it look "like any other laptop in the market".

Speaking of iconic, I still use the envelope sleeve on my 13"MBA, everyone remembers the day Steve withdrew that thin sexiness from an office envelope during its very first unveiling. Only difference is, my envelope sleeve is made of leather. Same tan yellow office color though, to mimic that very same envelope.

Yes i remember that keynote. That was really eye-catching.
That was the second keynote that really caught me. The first was the iPod Nano.

May i know what envelope sleeves do you use for your MBA?
I'm using a 11" Switcheasy Sleeves (Thins). The velcro keep failing me.
I'm looking for alternative.

Are you using sleeves for your iPad as well? May i know what brand is it?
I gave up and bought a samsonite one but it does not really cut it.
It still feel a bit loose.
I'm also looking for alternative. laugh.gif

Waoh..Thanks for sharing this awesome DPS plugins for Mac OS X!

It's been always bothering me how to punching more loudness from my speaker.. This plugins did the job impressively without needing a golden ear to notice the improvement.

Last time, i bought the BitPerfect. The improvement is not so significant. And it have to disable to allow others sounds to work for youtube or video player.

This is such a convenient and realistic sound improvement application.

For the 13" MBA, the leather envelope sleeve is a brand from Australia, I can't remember the name. I'll look it up once I get back from Istanbul.

For the iPad, I have three different sleeves/cases from Waterfield. http://sfbags.com/products/ipad-cases/ipad-cases.php .I have the Slip Case, the Smart Case and the Ultimate SleeveCase. You can guess, I'm very enamored by these San Francisco guys, and their products are built with the utmost precision and care. I'll be buying their MBP RD SleeveCase once they are back in production in mid-July.

You're welcome!

For owners of MBP/MBA with SD card slots, this Kickstarter project is pretty interesting.

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/134231...nifty-minidrive

It'll add a semi-permanent storage option via SD card slot on your MBA/MBP with the card FLUSH against the side. Go pledge your support at the link to get the project off the ground.

Estimated price would be RM 81, cost.
(USD 1000 + 20 international shipping for 40 pieces of MiniDrive Pro)

Quite an interesting upgrade.
Now I can dump some of my podcasts there.
Freeing my 256GB SSD.

Is it going to fit in the new RMBP?

We should start a bulk order for this!

There are no bulk order if a Kickstarter project is still in its funding phase. you can only bulk once it has been in the market. Kickstarter is created to kick-start an idea of a project and to fund the project.

Also, there are no 128GB MicroSD card in the market yet.

One of the way is that, we support the kickstart with $1000.
It will get us 40 pieces of MiniDrive / MiniDrive Pro.

But have to wait, till November for its launch.

The concept of the product is to put int the extra storage and then you forget about it.

hey i have a charging problem here!
When i plug in my my magsafe today, there's no green or orange light!
I still can on my MBP but it's not going to stay for long coz it cannot be charged =(
and when i checked the battery percentage, it shows that i need to service battery..
SO does that mean it's time for me to change a new battery?
