QUOTE(locolyric @ Jul 4 2012, 12:01 AM) how was it feel ? is it a hard or soft case? personally i prefer the nokia original case, i had a similar ROCK case for my HTC ONE X and I don't like the material, it feels like thick compressed cardboard, semi-hard, scratched my one x some more because it's very tight, don't know for pureview. the other problem is that there is no lens cap for this case, since that part bulges out, it can easily get scratched and you don't want your 41MP lens to get scratched rite Added on July 4, 2012, 12:02 amwondering is there any enhancement lens which suit 808 perfectly ? |

Its a clip on, I would prefer some other mechanism to fix the cap though. eg. magnetic clip or something like that.Another big problem for the original phone cover is the cap actually covers the speaker ! So to listen to the phone properly, you will need to uncap the lens cover ! I would prefer the speaker to be exposed all the time. This post has been edited by peter32: Jul 4 2012, 09:51 AM |

ya, hopefully there will be more cases soon.
anyway, looking at the construction of the cap and string, i don't think (for me that is) it will get loose anytime soon unless i super rough or pinjam my dog to use the phone..for those who can't find a case, do get a pocket sleeve or something, my good fren's 808 lens already got tiny hairline scratches because he use naked, can see when shine light at an angle. you are right about the speaker, it can be cumbersome for some. not an issue for me as my phone almost always on silence/vibrate or on headset or FM transmitter. So up to individual usage. |

This phone makes me wanna start taking just 3 mp pictures lol. Got longer zoom and even at 3 mp, the pics are very nice already.

QUOTE(sklchan @ Jul 5 2012, 09:37 AM) wow... poison poison time huh... LOL Not just FB, even printing to 4R is not an issue.yah, with the 3MP the 808 just the perfect P&S for FB quality that suitable through out any lighting condition The question is, how many people actually need so much megapixel? Unless they want to do cropping? 3.1MP is roughly 2048 X 1536 in resolution, unless the person have big LCD screen and set the resolution so huge? Most people, just view in their LCD with resolution like 1024 X 768 or slightly higher? Most people even they use their 8MP or 12MP camera and took a photo, they're just viewing at 1024X 768 or slightly larger; they just waste the space to keep the photo at 8MP or 12MP, and when upload to facebook using phone, usually it'll be compress and re-sized. Lastly, shooting at high megapixel like 8MP or 12MP, many times, the image look OK when viewing at smaller size; when zoom-ed in, then notice this and that issue. So, in the end, it's still better to view in smaller resolution. |

Nokia is brilliant in terms of camera, my mind before sets that bigger MP nicer pix, but with PureView, I won't even thought like that no more!
I am keen with the developer itself contributed to dear customers and reviewers, keep it up Nokia!! LONG LIVE NOKIA!!!! |
