Action shots problem? Hmm hmm.gif. Can post a few samples, compare with the normal P&S see how. Nvm I can record videos of sports with it.

set the ISO to high or as mention by aspire set it to night mode then capture the fast motion item you "might" get freezing action as this would push up the shuttle speed... icon_rolleyes.gif

Added on June 22, 2012, 6:20 pmsame threory for all, the brightness of the lighting is everything when snap high speed... there's no magic here, those ppl shooting high speed motion shot use dedicated spotlight to capture the moment...

Just bought a pureview as well.

Anyone knows how to make a time lapse video ?

I noticed that we can only fix up interval photography only in camera mode, not in video mode.  Do they need special apps for timelapse video at all?

Thanks for headups.
*
timelapse video you need to MAKE IT yourself with all those captured timelapse photos... doh.gif

example you capture timelapse 1 capture per sec mean you will have 60 photos in 1 min when u compile/make it into video then u will get 2 secs of 30 fps video... icon_rolleyes.gif

why it seem the macro from 808 are not "close" enough compare to N8?? what the minimum AF for 808 macro shot? btw since we can gain 3x lossless zoom the 808 should easily take "closer" macro then N8... hmm.gif

how about 808?

and i also need see GPS start up time for n8 and 808 to do comparison XD

gps saw somewhere review under 1 min with cold start without A-GPS... so I assume FTTF is good but now the curious part would be the antenna sensitivity (where the usability in KL congested high rise building area)... hmm.gif

Well, that was the RUMOR ever since Elop joins Nokia.
Rumor has it... *beat* *beat*
A well planned strategy, infiltrate and attack from inside. Symbian and Maemo/MeeGo was killed.
Before Elop plan, there was great plan by Nokia, based on the roadmap, suddenly it's all scrapped and gone, just like that, and after Elop plan, Nokia is practically giving away their customers to others, especially Samseng, which brings it to No. 1 stop in such short time, easily with NO competition.

Logically speaking, even if they want to adop WP, there's no need to kill Symbian or MeeGo.
Even if they want to stop it one day, there's NO NEED to announce the death of Symbian and MeeGo, LONG BEFORE Lumia even available.
They can start selling Lumia first, and when WP OS stable and become popular, then they can slowly phased out the OS which they think is not doing well, and they can maintain their customers.
BUT NO... they announce they will execute Symbian, 1 year BEFORE they even have Lumia, they abort MeeGo before it's even delivered, causing in premature delivery; what happens, majority of their customers left...
I'm not business student or study in business course, but I just cannot understand the logic in Elop's strategy. Maybe too skilled or actually, it was his plan all along, bring down Nokia shares, kills off everything, buy it's division part by part, obtains it's licenses or patents, etc.?

If this is true, then it's really sad to see what's happening and what will eventually become of Nokia. They were once so great, and they could've been great too, if they didn't opt for single platform OS.

Elop: C'mon, it's not my problem or strategic not working!! It's the damn robot selling too cheapo!!!
