QUOTE(faizalmzain @ Jun 25 2012, 12:20 PM) haha yes, i can't wait to smuggle my 808 during sigur ros concert in singapore later this november. That one not smuggle, that is terang2 bring in, lol. Smuggle is put in pocket bring in, then curi2 take photo when security not watching- rules supposed is 'no photography allowed except authorised media' During a International badminton tournament in England, one fan said his point and shoot almost kena confiscate cos he was taking pics, rules was no photo taking except with media pass. Later stage, we only see blurry, underexposed pics from his blackberry, haha. This post has been edited by eaglehelang: Jun 25 2012, 01:55 PM

i have one good anti-poison for those reading this thread, esp those changes their devices often: Don't buy 808 because any other phone you change after it will have a lousier camera.Solid reason to avoid 808 if you don't want to carry 2 devices in future This post has been edited by hox: Jun 25 2012, 01:57 PM

QUOTE(Eoma @ Jun 25 2012, 12:06 PM) The Maps application definitely (expected , i.e. 1.3Ghz on the 808 vs 680Mhz on the N8). The GPS lock could just be luck, but during my drive today morning, it was very very fast. < 5 sec locked onto my position. yes today also tested with Garmin gps apps for symbian..better than at my N8, the battery consumption also very good..use it for almost 1 hour still have lot..i think 808 GPS more friendly on battery compared with n8

Unfair comparison between 808 & Sony F717 (a nice vintage of 5MP digi camera, featuring Carl Zeiss lens with F2.0). Unedited photo shot. Sony F717 DSC07388-sony F717 by peter321828, on Flickr Pureview 808 bktinggi 043 by peter321828, on Flickr Added on June 25, 2012, 11:05 pmI also tested the following: When shooting video, if call comes in, the video shooting WILL BE stopped. The option of answering the calls while taking video at the same time is not existence. This post has been edited by peter32: Jun 25 2012, 11:05 PM

I suppose nobody wants a sudden phone call to be recorded in the video... just bring the phone offline before shooting or re-shoot after the call

IC. I agree that the first shot can be improve further, but really I bought two cameras there just for comparison. Didn't think of getting a good shots. F717 can be set totally manual to use larger aperture for the effect, but I just left it auto really. 2nd shot wasn't perfect either, I was trying to get the 808 to focus on the eyes. Its not easy when the donkey moves.. I think this is the hard part of 808. I guess face recognition feature cannot recognise donkey's face
