He mentioned Fiberhome which is AN5506-04A/AN5506-04B.

Apparently, to configure the Fiberhome ONU you need the console to USB with the correct username and password. I forgot what was it and it is in command prompt based, can't configure VoIP anyways.

Hi all,

I recently was given the Technicolor TG784n v3, from maxis, which replaced my Thomson TG799vn. I feel performance was worse than before.

Is there a router i can buy which is better? I want better wifi streaming and possibly faster downloading.

Hi all,
Did anyone know how to enter the login page for Fiberhome AN5506-04 modem & do the setting?
I've bought an Asus RT-N12 & I'd like to modify the setting as in page 1 but I got no idea how to enter the login page & setting.

This is hardware limitation. Thompson router has build in VOIP support while most of the replacement router (Asus, TPLink & etc) doesn't have VOIP function.
Only 2 ways, 1st way is source for a router model with VOIP function which is very rare, 2nd way is use replacement router + VOIP device / phone.

Hi guys, need help here.

Try the method (tweak the setting on TM Modem Huawei HG655M) from 1st page to setup Asus RT-N66U as main router while maintaining the Maxis Thomson Router for VoIP.

However no matter how i set the Asus router PPoE option (neither Maxis-Home Fiber or manual: Internet 621, VoIP Port 3 822 & IPTv Port 4 832), the connection never success.

Any advice?

Hi guys,

I am wondering if any of you stumble upon the problem i am facing now, i bought d-link 820L router and it work flawlessly after i setup everything including IPTV.

But my home has the habit of turning off Astro decoder every night and i realize once the decoder is switch off and switch back on the next morning, all the channel (except channel 810) is gone and i found out the only way to get it all back is to factory reset and reconfigure the router.

does anyone know how to fix this issue? currently the firmware is it using is V1.02

hi..i have done as dannywonglh has put in his post earlier..but wat i'm facing is that my speed is only half of wat its supposed to be..when i do a speedtest or torrent its only getting 5Mbps meanwhile if i change back to the Thompson router i get 10Mbps..anybody got a solution for that ? and i'm not sure on how to enable the openWRT.

I have done the VLAN trunk settings as well.

i'm using the TP Link TL WR1043ND. Connection is stable but not as fast as the Thompson.

Hi, I just use the WR1043ND as my custom router. Everthing go smooth, I'm facing the same problem as you. My speedtest just maintain at 5Mbps and the torrent also got half speed. Not sure what is the problem. Do you able to resolve yours? Appreciate that you can share......
