The kid's spec must be Nikon frame too with Nikon lenses ( yap, they do make glasses optics )

The guy said this lens no motor cannot AF??

Depends on what body you are using

no motor body..

Of course you can use the lens on D5100, just no AF.

Isit? a particular dealer said so.. bt then another dealer said can..

In total there is 3 version,

no motor, no VC (v1) --> Cannot AF on D5100
motor, no VC (v2) --> Can AF on D5100
motor, VC (v3) --> Can AF on D5100

But then again, the AF sucks big time so be prepare for AF hunt frenzy~!

u pay what u get ma , i found AF stil ok la for tamron 17-50mm , as long as u using Cross-Type AF point then should be no problem

Different, you see the sky is totally blown out? I no need flash also can achieve same thing la!

Apparently the v2 is crap LOL. Focusing is super lousy and inaccurate + slow.

No flash oso can do ar? hehe..i dno eh.. how? bt then that time the sky memang nothin wor..use external flash will help recover details of the sky?

how's the one with vc?
