QUOTE(celciuz @ Jun 14 2012, 10:34 AM) From the looks of it, the D400 seems more deadly than D4 for sports photography especially when long reach is required. More megapixels still able to sustain 9fps. Sweet... But sadly I'm more of a FF guy haha... >_< Sounds deadly on the paper but D4 have solid buffer for bursting shoots in RAW, that is the advantage

QUOTE(celciuz @ Jun 14 2012, 11:43 AM) True... D3s can handle 50 RAW, D4 is even more right? Nikon claimed that it can do 100 RAW or 200 JPEGs in one burst and that is with the new XQD card. Field test proven that it can go up to 76 RAW (14-bit) in one burst. I find that Nikon made a mistake to put in XQD in D4. Having a good feeling that in D4s (if there is) Nikon might put back 2 CF slots. The whole XQD thing is a deja vu of Microdrive in the early days of CF.

QUOTE(amduser @ Jun 14 2012, 12:37 PM) what's wrong with XQD? hard to find those cards? Sandisk and Lexar are not going to make XQD cards and only maker is Sony as the XQD group consist of Sony, Nikon. This leave the future of QXD in question on adaption and their initial plan of replacing Compact Flash. Nikon were grateful enough to provide free 16GB XQD card and a XQD reader for the early D4 buyers but to consider on buying more XQD cards will not be a smart move for now. Update : Nikon have just announced 2 new lenses : 18-300mm f/3.5-5.6 AF-S VR DX and the 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 AF-S VR. Read more here : http://www.nikonusa.com/About-Nikon/Press-...mm-VR-Lens.htmlPersonally I am more interested in the 24-85mm as once regarded as a poor man's 28-70mm or 24-70mm. Nikon had a few versions of this but seeing it with VR added means it might be a kitlens to a new FF body. Expected price for it is RM1800 (direct conversion of USD599.95) while the 18-300mm will be priced at RM3100 (direct conversion from USD999.95) This post has been edited by onscreen: Jun 14 2012, 01:21 PM

QUOTE(sherdil @ Jun 15 2012, 03:49 AM) Great photos. The D600 will be a FF without built-in motor, so you would need lenses with built-in motor Its proven, D600 will have build in motor. Leaked images in nikonrumors shows that it have 50mm f/1.4D mounted and open body shots with body motor drive @ lens bayonet. Must not miss Super GT next year!! >.< have to paster my editor for the application Those shots made me awww

QUOTE(jchue73 @ Jun 18 2012, 07:17 PM) Looks like you cropped that particular one a lot. The others are fine. Haiya... No info? Wanna exchange or not? You give me G lens in exchange for D lenses. This is what I have with aperture rings; AF 18mm f/2.8D AF 20-35mm f/2.8D AF 35-70mm f/2.8D AF 85mm f/1.4D AF 135mm f/2.0D AF-S 80-200mm f/2.8 AF-S 300mm f/4 Last four I still want to keep though. yummy! love the AF-S 80-200mm! Since you said you are selling the top 3 lenses in the list, how much are you willing to let go the 35-70mm f/2.8 D?

I sold my 24-70mm for 28-70mm and now have a little extra cash for 35-70mm, hoping to own it again for walk around purpose Used to own the 35-70mm but I sold it for 18-70mm when I came back to photography career again. Love the sharpness and the size of it.

QUOTE(0168257061 @ Jun 20 2012, 08:55 PM) no one give a damn about the new 24-85 VR II due to the fact that the 24-85 were in the market for a long long time. Putting VR might not interest many FX users as many of them already had one in their off-duty bag. Many had the f/3.5-4.5 one than the f/2.8-4

QUOTE(celciuz @ Jun 21 2012, 08:06 AM) I just need her name to tag her on LOL! I was comparing my GT Asia pics and my Super GT pics... the GT Asia cars are much slower than the GT I'm thinking of going... probably go if I have media for TTA2. Early cause before going to work xD Red Chevrolet Camaro, where is Bumblebee? by CY Pixels, on Flickr I think you can apply for the media pass for TTA2. I had mine applied for TTA but I couldnt make it due to Formula Drift and I hope they still accept media pass re-application Give it a try : http://www.zerotohundred.com/newforums/mis...?do=form&fid=10

QUOTE(hihihehe @ Jun 23 2012, 03:23 PM) which lens is good for taking architecture building? wide lens? 14-24mm? For architecture building, tilt shift is the best in the class for architecture shots. My suggestion is 11-16mm Tokina if you are on DX body. I have seen some commercial architecture shots done with DX body and the tokina lens. I have not try the 14-24mm before so I cant comment much on that lens. Update : I have emailed about the TTA media pass. Still waiting for reply. Hoping for a respond on the next 5 working days This post has been edited by onscreen: Jun 23 2012, 07:59 PM

Ah since you have the option to go for the 12-24mm (sorry for the typo earlier) Go for it. I managed to ask a couple of friends who have the lens and said that the distortion are well controlled for correction purpose and here is the link for you to judge it goodness http://www.photozone.de/nikon--nikkor-aps-...-report--review

The 14-24mm is another good lens to consider too despite the huge front element. It can be still consider as wide angle on DX body.
