Browser it will default to lower quality video most of the time , YouTube apps will default to HQ videos all the time

If i knew, I would have mentioned it in my previous post tongue.gif
Yup, exactly this. You'll have to reduce the quality if you want to stream faster.

To do that, you'll have to rotate the video to landscape mode, then press on the "HD" button to toggle to low quality (probably 360p or 240p). smile.gif
Do note that there is a difference between HD and HQ. HD = 720p HQ = 480p
I find "HQ" still streams at a tolerable speed.

Otherwise, the browser actually stream just as fast as the youtube app.

Oh...now i get it. Thats why it loads faster on the browser. If that's the case, i'll start using the youtube app back, at least i'll get a full screen view. Thanks guys thumbup.gif

oops.. i guess my sarcasm has got the best of you... sorry .. didnt mean that...sumtime i got carried away when i see the same basic question being asked again n again... forgot that ur new to gnex... my bad... icon_rolleyes.gif

i normally focus on how to make things better.. thus most of the questions that pops out in my head would come from a diff angle..
eg.
how can i make my speaker louder? and not, why gnex speaker sound so weak?
whats the best radio baseband  out there for malaysia? and not, why la gnex data not stable?
cos I know the problem is there, just got to find the best solution...

all ur issue will be solved if u start playing around with it like custom roms, 3rd party launcher, music player etc...
if u stay in stock mode, i guess u'll just have to learn to live with it.. i managed to stay with stock launcher for 6 months...only after the tweak to hide the navi bar came out, i just got to root my phone and go custom...
and how i wish i had done it sooner....

which i would highly suggest u do the same... root n modify it.. it'll solve all ur problem.. i can guarantee it..

Chill laugh.gif

I know the tweaks make things better but that's also why I wondered whether it do any harm to the speaker. But i think samsung won't use so low powered speaker. Should be just software based limitation.

Navi bar... you mean the virtual keys? After that what software you use for navigation? I saw one app name... LMT? or something like that that do the same trick, the circular menu that pop up when you slide in from the side. But the problem is... Its response is too slow. Let me get bored by stock launcher first rolleyes.gif

Hi guys..i've noticed that viewing youtube, it loads faster when using browser as compared to the youtube app. So I kinda prefer using the browser. But..how to get the video to play totally full screen when viewing using browser? Thanks...
*
Lower right corner of the player, does it have the icon with 4 arrows pointing outward at 4 corners? If not, it's probably similar looking to camera's focus bracket. There should be a full screen button for the web browser player. smile.gif

If you are afraid it might burn your speaker, there's always the volume button that soft everything down. thumbup.gif

"Just got a chance to do a comparison between my S2 and the Galaxy Nexus.

Nexus is clearer overall. Better instrument seperation and detail because of it.
Nexus is punchier not as dull.
Soundstage isn't wider or bigger quite similar in that regard.
Bass amount is similar, just more focused and detailed on the Nexus.
Lower noise floor on the Nexus as well. No noise carried through the head phones from using the screen."

was quite free to test this recently
for those who want more space in the nav bar, but hate the 24dp height as pressing the buttons will always miss.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

navbar funs
1) save this white image
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

2) enter rom control\nav bar\ and modify the button 1,2,3,4,5 image and select the white image, no crop.
3) set transparency to 0% if u see 1 grey box looking thing. (flaw for button 1 and 2 only the rest is clear)
4) set height to 24dp
5) exit and hav fun, u would notice the top n botom would have equal height, responsiveness is higher
(on stock icons, u have to press the icon to activate, the sides of the icon will have no effect, example stock- __B__H__R__ mod- BBBHHHRRR)

for further fun, try clearing the icons for phone contacts sms n camera, let ur friends play, see their faces thumbup.gif
*any idea to make the folder icons appear as clear?, still finding a way to reduce navbar background colour to clear..
