I got volume+. I tested poweramp. My ear is not trained enough to notice the difference between it and Google music sound quality Tested with real bassy song or it's all bass song (bassotronics), seriously with my noob earphone and noob ears, I can't really see how poweramp does better on low frequency(mentioned by one or two forumers in past few pages) both software gives me almost identical output. I've not tweaked headset settings on Volume+, no equaliser or anything. Only one feature in poweramp that I need. Slide across the album art to change song like Samsung Stock Music player. Not a big deal though

I am wondering... Will those 'Boost' kill our speaker? Samsung really gave it a low power speaker or is actually a high power speaker but get limited by Google/Samsung through stock rom?

if im running stock i might need this.......but now on AOKP no nid

Volume+ only increase the volume but quality wise not much...

I guess they have they on preference, but u should notice diff in powerAMP after u tweak some setting in the app itself like bass and treble

then developer came out with special tweak to make it louder.. then u wonder if it would hurt the speaker..

i guess there is nothing bout the gnex that would satisfy u..

Erm... Can you just don't think the negative way? I'm just having a question mark in my head, trying to clear it up. I know the tweak does its job. I'm just wondering whether it's purposely limited by Samsung/Google through their software/rom or the speaker of GNex memang so soft/low powered (hardware) Please la. I'm not quite complaining. It's just a question demanding answer. Provide the answer if you have one. You can choose to be quite when you don't have one

Actually 5hours 45mins is around 5% left.
From 100% to 79%... I unplugged at 100%, played word search then too tired and fall asleep. Woke up about 2 hours later the screen still on Check screen on time 2hours 20mins, guess screen on with word search on for 2hours++ Then morning play play play play until now, I'm charging it.

Hi guys..i've noticed that viewing youtube, it loads faster when using browser as compared to the youtube app. So I kinda prefer using the browser. But..how to get the video to play totally full screen when viewing using browser? Thanks...

I' m also going to go dirty from 38 to 40. Since JB is coming soon, better wait for it to do full wipe

Running CM9 nightly now. I like the colour hack.

One thing annoy me is the navigation bar height cannot be changed.

I tried decompile the SystemUI.apk and been trying to change it, but I cant find any line on the code to mod that.

I googled and search on CM9 thread at XDA, no answer found.

Anyone can enlighten me?

Yes, one of the best thing I noticed after switching to CM9 from AOKP, the colour hack. (besides the fact that my phone is now a speed demon, everything is noticeably snappier)

But, like you pointed out, there really are nothing much you can do to the navigation bar, besides adding in buttons.

Luckily though, I like to keep my UI changes to the minimum, so the lack of customization doesn't really bother me as much. As long as I get to remove the clock and battery from the status bar, I'm happy.

I am thinking of modding myself, googled and does not found way to reduce the height.

Browser it will default to lower quality video most of the time , YouTube apps will default to HQ videos all the time

Yup, exactly this. You'll have to reduce the quality if you want to stream faster.

To do that, you'll have to rotate the video to landscape mode, then press on the "HD" button to toggle to low quality (probably 360p or 240p).
Do note that there is a difference between HD and HQ. HD = 720p HQ = 480p
I find "HQ" still streams at a tolerable speed.

Otherwise, the browser actually stream just as fast as the youtube app.

I find that in Browser, certain video can stream 1080p lagless. Some will stream but laggy. I mean laggy not buffering thing but the video is not smooth.

oops.. i guess my sarcasm has got the best of you... sorry .. didnt mean that...sumtime i got carried away when i see the same basic question being asked again n again... forgot that ur new to gnex... my bad...

i normally focus on how to make things better.. thus most of the questions that pops out in my head would come from a diff angle..
eg.
how can i make my speaker louder? and not, why gnex speaker sound so weak?
whats the best radio baseband out there for malaysia? and not, why la gnex data not stable?
cos I know the problem is there, just got to find the best solution...

all ur issue will be solved if u start playing around with it like custom roms, 3rd party launcher, music player etc...
if u stay in stock mode, i guess u'll just have to learn to live with it.. i managed to stay with stock launcher for 6 months...only after the tweak to hide the navi bar came out, i just got to root my phone and go custom...
and how i wish i had done it sooner....

which i would highly suggest u do the same... root n modify it.. it'll solve all ur problem.. i can guarantee it..
