QUOTE(mikeeeee @ Jun 11 2012, 01:07 PM) i just noticed that i have the same issues with some pics, they will turn grey. Not only in the gallery but sometimes in Flipboard as well. Flashed back b35 and confirmed the issue is not there. I'm using HD Contacts, the grey pics appeared when I want to set/change contacts photo that are stored in G+. The problem is the default gallery, not other apps, so Quickpic can show no problem, but Quickpic can't show G+ photos...However, only a few of my images are affected, so not really a biggie but definitely an issue. How are you restoring your contact photos ??? i've tried to use other app such as filexpert and quickpic to view those broken images and they turn up fine |

QUOTE(mikeeeee @ Jun 11 2012, 02:39 PM) if u know the location where u stored the image, can u use filexpert to choose photo instead of gallery ? Wanna keep my apps to a minimum, so I'll just wait for B39 for the mean time. If really want to update photos, maybe will just copy the images to phone and just Quickpic. |

If just upgrade, you can try dirty flash, if found out having bugs, then only wipe. No harm done right? Just be sure backup before doing anything. |

QUOTE(reevephon @ Jun 16 2012, 07:00 PM) TS please add me to the owner list as I just bought a brand new SME set from lowyat @ RM1265. Really a tough decision has been made by me for switching from iOS to Android, been 2 years of iPhone user. Mind telling where you got it in Lowyat? My sister who's working in KL interested to get one. |

QUOTE(iitadakimas @ Jun 17 2012, 12:10 AM) Woah, I use data and my current WP7 could get me about 1 full day, which I thought was not enough lol. We as a pure Google phone has OTA update, which has been broken by our beloved Samsung by bringing us yakjuxx or xf/fg/wr/dg/hg blah... nvmAnd sorry to ask this, but how do you update android phones? Does it have an official software, like iOS has iTunes, WP7 has Zune. The last time I used my Galaxy S I had to manually download the firmware and use a 3rd party software (forgot the name) to update because Samsung Kies kinda sucked If you flash to original yakju, you'll be having update by Google without using any platform, just open wifi and the phone will prompt you about new updates. For more info about yakju, visit first page. |

QUOTE(djronzai @ Jun 17 2012, 10:29 PM) hello everyone , i m keep having this problem... my phone will automatically pop out the unlock screen even though i didnt press my power button... any idea how to solve ya? it hurt my eye while i m sleeping in the night... it just pop out occasionally... Means the phone will just "on" by itself during the night? Check your phone's Setting->Battery->History details and see if your phone is asleep or just fully awake? A fully awake phone might be the cause of switching on your screen. |

QUOTE(jtdc @ Jun 17 2012, 11:47 PM) Is the on-screen buttons always there, and when they're not there the black area where they are is always there... meaning the 4.65 inch screen is reduced of this area all the time (well except maybe in movie playing)? It's always there but will hide for apps like youtube or movie player. You can hide it with custom rom to show full screen. |

QUOTE(DunkyKung @ Jun 19 2012, 12:27 AM) hello guys, just got my gnex for 3 days, and its been pleasure using this phone..upgraded from good old nexus s slcd..but i have many questions to ask since this is my first S amoled phone..the screen got yellow tint, but i manage to get rid of it by adjusting RGB multiplier, the question is The picture with yellow is your screen?? If that is, you might have a faulty unit, go get warranty.1.Does increasing RGB multiplier (200 and above) decrease S amoled screen lifespan, and prone tu burn in effect? 2.i got purple tint on low brightness, and in the dark on black background where some part of the screen lights up i can actually see inside of the screen, its looks like fungus that grew on the old bread..and on white BG such as in msging app, its looks so grainy..again all of these issue happen to me on low brightness(10% and below) except the fungus one..i cant actually believe this is samsung phone..(sigh) i think thats all for now..highly appreciated if someone can explain to me ( especially the fungus part, urghhh!!) nvm, i found a thread about this just now, its seems that the glass is dirty on the inside, and it affect many unit..sigh samsung... source [attachmentid=2901175] Btw, take a better picture, too blurry |

QUOTE(DunkyKung @ Jun 19 2012, 01:02 AM) nope, this image is not my screen, but my issue is identical to this although is much less serious.. The AMOLED screen will have grainy look if set to low brightness, but too look fungy... that is too extreme. After setting brightness to around 30% all the grainy feel will be gone.Care to take a picture and see how it looks? |

QUOTE(DunkyKung @ Jun 19 2012, 01:21 AM) yes, the grainy effect overall gone when i set the brightnes to 15% and above, for yellow and purple tint, it can be reduced by adjusting RGB multiplier..after reading that thread on xda, i quite happy with my unit, it seems, 70-80% of them suffer this issue, alot more serious than mine..but, to think that this phone made by samsung, im disapointed with all these issue.. As far as I know, AMOLED screens will have these effects. Nothing currently can be done except setting higher brightness.and my first question just now, 1.Does increasing RGB multiplier (200 and above) decrease S amoled screen lifespan, and prone tu burn in effect? can u explain it? I'm not sure about burn in effects but guys here said it will, so believing or not depends on you. If you plan to use it long term, preventing is anything bad won't hurt, right? |

QUOTE(jasonhor @ Jun 20 2012, 11:03 AM) Recently I developed a new nfc app. This app is ready and can be upload to play store anytime soon, but before i post to google play store, i would like to share with all members here. Just tried it, seems like still left out lots of function. Overall, I like the clean interface and easy settings unlike all other apps in the market. Keep up the good work and keep us posted from time to time!Basically it is a nfc task launcher app. but instead of buying new new tag, you can use any existing card like mykad, touchngo, rapidkl ticket token, etc. download link: AnyTAG NFC Launcher let try out and let me know what you think.
