Im using ASUS N55SL right now but after looking at y580FHD... im amazed.. is it worth it if i sell my n55 and go for y580?
It's super worth, but I think N55 cannot sell at too high price lo...LENOVO Y480/580 feel the need for SPEED, lowest price at higher specs cpu

I'd say, unless your n55 now is too slow or can't serve your pruposes, or else, just use until it has reached its full potential. there is no end in chasing newer models - they just keep coming every year... i'd bet in 2013, the market will be flooded with lappies with specs better than y480/580 at even lower prices... |

SSD just need to boot OS(so 64GB/60GB) should be enough, and hybrid driver(think of buy 500GB) is to store program and personal data... That default 500GB HDD take out and become external HDD..lol Added on August 16, 2012, 8:41 pmPS: next year I thought its around 20 ~ 30 GB nia? |

Hi thanks for the suggestion. My N55 really is nice until today, but the thing is, my laptop is for gaming purpose, i can set to highest setting in games but not Ultra.. GTA IV is the game that i played the most, due to ENB mods which make my gta iv more realistic, sometime i lagg.. |

QUOTE(Proclaimer @ Aug 16 2012, 08:33 PM) Yeah how much does the shop in midvalley selling? midvalley IT stuff not cheap Standard RRP lor. At first they said RM3699 but found out they bundle useless stuff = cheat money. On a side note. Anybody wants to buy my Y480? 1 month plus of age but rarely used because i got 2 desktops. No HDD though. Can contact me through PM QUOTE(Proclaimer @ Aug 16 2012, 10:04 PM) OS + updates roughly 25 - 30 GB if accumulated. Programs roughly 10gb if you are a light user. Thats already 40 GB. Remaining 12 GB or so only can accommodate 1 game. Go figure Yeah 60GB almost fit it. If don't want to bother with transplanting HDD to the optical drive area, can just get a mSATA. There's one seller selling 80GB for RM500. Pricey but just drop-in style Some may not want to sacrifice the Bluray and still want the 1TB drive for dumping site. So the mSATA seems a viable option provided you have spare change lol! QUOTE(xerox8908 @ Aug 16 2012, 10:42 PM) If stock come with 32GB mSATA SSD, its for caching using Intel SRT. Basically its a RAID mirror to your HDD but only mostly used applications and files are cached there in effort to improve response time. I experienced this with the Inspiron 15R SE before. Boot up speed is really good (with all the junks and crapware). Its good enough. |

One thing i notice about the beta nvidia driver that i really like is that the battery life is amazing! I can get 4 hours with normal web surfing compared to the shitty stock driver which i can only achieve 2 hours max.
