Yes, restore method.

I was wondering whether I can do that too since both of u mentioned that.I am on LP9 too.So should I flash to Official ICS LPY Pre-Root DEODEX?How to do that from LP9?Use pc odin?

So instead of:

1.Flash ODEX Pre-rooted stock GB Rom using pc odin
2.Use mobile odin pro and flash ICS Germany,TICK EVERROOT,INJECT S/U,INJECT MOBILE ODIN
3.Boot into CWM,flash abyss kernel 4.2
4.Do a full wipe (wipe data,cache and dalvik)
5.Flash rocket rom while still in abyss kernel

Now I use this?

did you having any problem with abyss 4.2 as mention by others forumer? and somehow the phone model number is showing GT-l9300 not N7000

yes PC ODIN..but i cant guarantee u will get full root since ur base also partial root..but u can try and report back here..

if you are already on LP9, shouldn't you just skip step 1 and do step 2 straight? What's the point of doing Step 1?

I think in summary, the first step to flash ICS custom ROM is to flash a working Abyss 4.2 as a tool to flash custom ROM.

To get LPY/LPF kernel?

Only way is to find out bro...hehehe...its a very subjective case by case matter...

I had no success on the prerooted LPY so opt to go by stock LPY with CF root kernel from rooted GB... I also had no luck with Abyssnote 4.2 and only can use Abyss 3.9...

i used this Method...

And it worked without any problems....

haha...actually i tot just flash officially LPF rom as it is thru pc odin which going to be full wipe....thats y im not sure if im correct or not then only flash it to RRv1....cause according to UncleBenny comment...RRv1 with LPF kernel offers the best batt consumption...

any sifu can comment on this...can i just flash it str8 away without bricking my phone?

Wah... Just got notification on ICS upgrade OTA. Upgrading now. Stock and unrooted.

the moment you flash RR V1, it will flash its own kernel. If we want to flash a particular kernel, always flash it AFTER we flash custom rom, not the other way round.

EDIT: Of course for Abyss 4.2 is different story coz we use it as a flashing tool.

When you flash the RR V1, it will replace the previously used kernel with the one it was packaged with...so LPF kernel must be flashed again after you are already on RR v1...

is ur device is rooted on LPF??if yes u may proceed..if no then no other option either revert back to pre-root GB or go for pre-root LPY Germany version..

okok thnx sifu!! i get it...but one matter...after flash it wit custom ROM already...how do it flash it to LPF kernel since RRv1 kernel is alredy on LPY?? im lost with this step on how after on RRv1 then to LPF kernel

Actually I plan to go back to GB and root first (since I lost my root) then only rocket rom but then eybee said some ppl might get bootlops if going from GB to rocket rom so need to flash LPY stock rom first.Now u guys suggested that I can try to flash to pre-rooted Germany ICS to get my root and then only rocket rom So have to try that also lo.

Got it just now... Didn't managed to download finished then disconnected.. Now cannot find the update again... SIgh...

Eh,forgot to ask.Need to boot into recovery,install the CWM.zip and then only Abyss kernel?
