any review for the RRV2?

Had the scariest flash of my life just now. Flashed to AbyssNote to wipe data and flash RRv2 and it hanged on me on abyssNote recovery. Luckily it didnt fully hang, it kept loading for a long time to just wipe data and also to flash rrv2. Anyone experienced a very laggy abyssnote before?

some incident trying to flash RR V2. Planning for a full wipe install, so i boot to recovery, then notice my CWM gone. So flash CWM, the recovery change to CWM, then tried to flash Abyss 4.2 and it indicated install from SD card complete. Restart recovery under advance but a counter appear at the left bottom and running - like a timer, running from 0, 1, 2.... until it reaches 6000 which i think something went wrong, so no choice pull the battery.

restart the Note in recovery mode - and the CWM (not abyss) still there. So tried the none wipe version instead - done and reboot without problem.

but tested the keyboard in Contact - still freeze. That is the reason i want to do full wipe in the first place. Might need to redo a PC Odin clean install with Taiwan LPF instead.....sigh....

TheMidTeam 1.4 is wonderful, it uses Samsung Galaxy S3 Style, with SGS Touchwiz UX (added some SGS features)

ducky try revert to pre-root rom GB DXLC2..and this time dont tick repartition..and dont put pit file..after successful flash then u do full wipe using CWM RECOVERY..

I faced that yesterday as well bro...decided not to do full wipe and also stayed away from Abyssnote 4.2... somehow my Note dislikes it...lolz....

After tat?The dev for rocket rom say that sometimes going from rooted GB rom to rocket rom it will be in bootloops

Duckie, you dont have full rooted GB nandroid?? restore to that with Abyssnote 3.9 1st and try again going to ICS...

I went rocket from LPY coz rocket is also based on LPY... but i suppose if you come from LP9 to rocket might also be safe... better to confirm with uncle...

start from scratch..from pre-root GB DXLC2 flash the ICS Germany Version via MOBILE ODIN PRO. dont forget to TICK EVERROOT,INJECT S/U,INJECT MOBILE ODIN..so u then u will got force root on ICS ROM..then flash LPY using MOBILE ODIN..then u can go to RR V2..

install betterbatterystat and find out the wakelocks info.
If you have GPS wake locks issue being the top, probably your fb app is waking up the GNote too much.
I had the problem in the past. Decided to remove fb app and install friendcaster

Cynox, i experienced the same thing when i restarted recovery after flashing Abyss 4.2. However, i did not pull the battery with the timer thing; just try pressing the power button until the screen/phone turns off. Then the usual power, home button and volume up button got me back to Abyss recovery.

i got notification to upgrade ics OTA edi. no need kies.

looks awesome, another 1.5hours download on my 1mbps line. btw, does it come with Chinese Input? Thanks.

btw, since Abyss4.2 has some issue on my Note, can i use Abyss 3.9 instead? 3.9 has always been great in my Note.
