I think this is something we should change and let them know about it and scrap the appointment rubbish. What happens if my car suddenly have major problem? and i have to walk in and ask them to check? Do they need to wait until all cars in the appointment list done servicing to check my car? Ridiculous.

Good SC will always assign someone to take care of this problem (walk in customers). Do you know how many cars per day in the appointment list in SC Glenmarie today alone? About 50 appointments for today only. 50 cars. This info i got from the front receptionist. Only 8 service bays available in the SC. On top of the 8 bays 2 are not available (massive / major service car) and only 6 available for normal service. Another 2 bays for alignment and balancing. Approx 1 hour (max) for normal service per car. 6 cars = 6 hours. Imagine the remaining cars in the appointment list. This is all excluding the walk in customers like me.

I just don't like the system used by SC. They should attend to any type of customers. Walk in or appointment. I sincerely believe first come first serve policy is always the best way.
*
They are suppose to allocate slots for emergencies as well. If you look at the form where they fill in the details of any particular service, they will tick one of these boxes : Appointment, walk-in, emergency. How efficient they can handle emergency cases vary from SC to SC, though.

QUOTE(K2002 @ May 31 2012, 12:19 AM)
yes you are right they must implement something like walk in customer. in COSE they have lots lots of bay...if not mistaken... got almost 30 bays to service car. so at one go can have 30 cars full. if they can allocate 5 or even 10 service bay for at least 10 customer walking a day should be nice.
*
COSE have alot of bays, but I suspect they are understaffed. I see many cars hanging there with no one attending to it.

Proton claim : 138hp/205Nm
Dyno result : 159hp/232Nm

Is this true?on stock Preve?

Proton claim : 138hp/205Nm = direct from engine. or flywheel to be specific.

Dyno result : 159hp/232Nm = after undergo CVT transmisison and gear ratio, dyno result based on the car tested on the crank, measured from tyre.
this 2 pulley manipulation causing higher ouput:

A variable-input "driving" pulley
An output "driven" pulley

I know what is a dyno.

I'm asking how does one dyno a CVT car, because CVT has no fixed ratio vs. speed . sweat.gif

I think they use the SAT system on Preve's CVT to simulate the 7 virtual ratio in that transmission.

You mean the Protonic paddle shift. It will automatically shift up at 5k RPM, rev cuts at 6k, IINM. That means even with the simulated 7 speed gb, they will not be able to dyno the whole RPM range until rev cut (6k RPM), since it will shift up at 5k RPM.

SAT mode is only available in IAFM+ variant.

This is why I have found this dyno result to be highly dubious.

EDIT: upon close inspection, the dyno chart does end at 5K hmm.gif In any case, chassis dyno should always have lower figures than engine dyno on the flywheel. How come this is not?

for those ppl who got vibration on their dashboard, speaker etc, imo it could be caused by the natural freq itself at certain speed. Any experts in vibration pls correct if i'm wrong. I'll confirm it wit p1 eng later on.

I notice mostly the sound came from the aircond vents, perhaps the fit and finish is not good. Although very minimal but still noise nonetheless
