I use fully synthetic (syntium 1000). there are 4 all together in the car, my wife and my two children. I travel at noon from 2.00pm. After Temerloh, I keep my eye on the instant fuel consumption and try to maintain below 8L/100km as much as possible. If I need to rev the car, I'll try not doing it very long.

7.20 am or 6.45 am also. if you are not book for appointment of course need to wait. let say example got 4 to 5 people walk in like you. all reach same time like you or earlier than you then it will affect the rest of the booking one. only until someone book but did not turn up then only they will allow your car to be start service.

I went to COSE. i reach very early at 7.15am. but the reception only open at 8.00am. already register and told them i want to be the first one. indeed sharp at 8am. they finish service my 1k service around 9.15...but that time i got lots of thing need to ask the CAT team and need to change some window lining rubber. so wait wait wait everything finish around.1.30 i remember almost 2pm by the time i exit COSE.

All the way from Perak. I wanted to do that too but after researching for 3 Weeks I decided not to.
I read a post from a guy who had done sg but without his consent and knowledge, when he collected his car after servicing, it was full of swirl marks. They wash his car without his permission and they were using plain ordinary cloth to wash and wipe. Mr Choong said need to do sg again. Unfortunately for those who are not based in KL, is it worth the trouble and price to pay for the ignorance of a staff?

Of course if it was me, I will fucuk kuat kuat but because I know the trouble I have to face with taking leave, sit 6 hours there, pay petrol, toll etc; my heart can't take it. I scared I will pengsan rclxub.gif .

I have already suggested to him to consider opening a branch here but I don't think it will materialize.

Only 2 types of coating available in Ipoh, Itisbond and Meguiars Diamond coating.

I am considering waxing every 1-2 months costing $60 or $90 depends on quality of product.
One thing less to worry.

Remember, warn SC don't wash your car. Maybe stick a sticker in your car to warn them each time you go for servicing.

Added on May 30, 2012, 11:12 pmI guess many preve owners are first time owner of a car with so many features, especially ESC and traction control.
I came across a YouTube safety news on vehicle with such features but I can't recall the title of it.
The video warns drivers not to activate auto cruise when ESC and traction control is activated during heavy rain and slippery road conditions. Otherwise, during skid, the ESC system will be stressed to make quick calculated adjustments to recover from the skid while simultaneously maintaining your preset auto cruise speed. As a result the ESC is not able to perform 100% efficiency.

If any of you can confirm this is true then this should be in first page and Proton should have labeled this warning sticker on the dashboard for new car owners to be aware.

Anyway, I won't take the risk and choose to believe it.

I think this is something we should change and let them know about it and scrap the appointment rubbish. What happens if my car suddenly have major problem? and i have to walk in and ask them to check? Do they need to wait until all cars in the appointment list done servicing to check my car? Ridiculous.

Good SC will always assign someone to take care of this problem (walk in customers). Do you know how many cars per day in the appointment list in SC Glenmarie today alone? About 50 appointments for today only. 50 cars. This info i got from the front receptionist. Only 8 service bays available in the SC. On top of the 8 bays 2 are not available (massive / major service car) and only 6 available for normal service. Another 2 bays for alignment and balancing. Approx 1 hour (max) for normal service per car. 6 cars = 6 hours. Imagine the remaining cars in the appointment list. This is all excluding the walk in customers like me.

I just don't like the system used by SC. They should attend to any type of customers. Walk in or appointment. I sincerely believe first come first serve policy is always the best way.
*
yes you are right they must implement something like walk in customer. in COSE they have lots lots of bay...if not mistaken... got almost 30 bays to service car. so at one go can have 30 cars full. if they can allocate 5 or even 10 service bay for at least 10 customer walking a day should be nice.
