1. You are right ! I spoke to my coach.. and he told me that because i am not used to the water, hence my body stiffness.

2. Noted.. but then i realize that when i swim.. my lower legs muscle kept on cramped. Sometime the feet also... how to solve this?

And what to do during muscle cramping? Don't wanna drown sweat.gif I asked my coach.. he can't  answer that doh.gif

3. Noted.. Thank you very much sifu.

4. 1 more question, my office hour until 6pm. I plan to go swimming after office hour, so the question is shall I eat 1st bfore i start swimming? Because after swimming normally 7-8pm.. then only eat.. or even worst.. reach home 9pm then only eat.. a bit late hmm.gif What do you think? any advice?
Thank you

For question 4:

- I do suggest swim after having your dinner about an hour later, do not swim with empty stomach, this will harm your body.
- Just eat some protein food (whole eggs, fish, chicken breast, boiled potatoes....) after your swim.

wish you happy swimming, cool2.gif

1. Hygiene.
2. Less water drag on your head position.
3. Looks like more professional, tongue.gif

Hey, good morning. Currently I'm using NABAIJI B-Fast swimming goggles from Decathon Malaysia, price only RM55.00 last time I bought. It is really handy, comfortable & I love it's nose bridge is adjustable. You can refer link below, in Decathlon really have a lot of good stuff there. cool2.gif cool2.gif

Morning, guys. Just want to share something about freestyle breathing drill, to achieve this:

1. Must practice more on side kicking drills.
2. Must control your body side to side balance stability.
3. Must control the air exhaling percentage, do not exhale too fast this will make your body sink.

I would like to share myself practice video demo here, I hope this can provide some idea to who always struggle on freestyle swimming breathing problem. And wish all of you happy swimming always. laugh.gif laugh.gif

i've face the same problem. DSA ask me to go to their Panasonic Sports Centre branch. Registered my interest there, 6 months still no place.

Enrolled my kids with Supersharkz at Pusat Akuatik Darul Ehsan Shah Alam. Same standard if not better.

recently wanna get back to swimming so went shopping for swim trunk

I used to wear briefs/"speedo" style swimwear when I started swimming and pretty get used to it.. that was a long long long ago...it was like in another time dimension

and since working, does not exercise and now put a few kgs of weight, still in normal BMI range but you know la.. fat gathers at my waist and abs..ughh

yesterday went shopping for new swim trunk, tried on the more 'conservative' jammers which I nv worn one before. was shocked at how uncomfortable it was despite I am wearing the size according to my waist. I feel like my thighs are getting chocked and lack of support at the nether region, i prefer the suit to lift away instead of pressing them between my thighs.
Some more my wife said that I looks shorter(i am not proud of my height) and like uncle

okay next,
Tried on the 'square-cut' type.. a lil better/forgiving on the thighs but i do feel like the fabric will roll up and I still find it lack of support and the pressing issue annoying

tried the briefs style.. straight away, it feels at home. Love the freedom and support.. but totally no confident to show more skin in front of people now and I am looking for a general purpose swimwear that if needed, to be wear to the pool, waterpark and beach with friends/family/colleagues etc...

so at the end no buy :/

what is your guy thought about this dilemma?

anybody know where to train and sit the test for Bronze Medallion in Klang Valley?
anybody know the venue and the course fees?

I think i met min requirement (i think so):
freestyle and backstroke 50m no prob
breaststroke at least 25m
butterfly less than 25m though LOL

I have been swimming for 2months already, and youtube videos are my gurus.
