Is the 3 years in home warranty for rm299 really worth spending? Still hesitating on that part...bcoz without the 3 years warranty.. i could get dell inspiron 15R SE (FHD) + backlit keyboard and media cd for roughly 3k....

1. getting an i7 will mean higher heat, best to avoid if you're using for gaming only... get an i7 only if your work requires the additional processing power nod.gif
2. 500GB (7200rpm) is actually better than a 1TB (5400rpm) HDD since its significantly faster nod.gif Upgrade to hybrid HDDs or SSD instead if you have the money nod.gif
3. as what iori_argami has mentioned, RAM its better to upgrade yourself since its cheaper doing that~

If they refuse to give you rebate, you can ask for refund as far as the item are new without any scratch and within the return policy timeframe. Hurry up, call Dell & nego with the sales manager as they have more authority. If still can't make it, ask them to arrange the refund for you. Beware, they may counter offer you with freebies. Just stick with the refund or rebate, hopefully you should able to make it. Wish you good luck. biggrin.gif
pls refer to Dell returned policies for details.

under wat conditions or circumstances we can ask for a replacement of a new laptop?
Quoted from Steventan85
"any circumstances.... examples like u dont like the performance of the notebook , u ordered the wrong spec , or the notebook got some defect or cosmetic blemished.....

i juz returned 1 unit of Inspiron 1525 due to the poor performance of Celeron processor....go and check for that topic in tis section.."

the 1tb 5400rpm drive is not realy slow, comparable to the 7200rpm 500gb due to the higher density.
