I heard that RVP demand 180k per week for 3 years contract.
AW and IG offering 130k per week.

just because there is no update on the contract talks, doesn't mean there's no agreement made between them. for all we know, it might just be a story that was made up to sell the papers. i won't believe anything of it.

Agree, not mean that he leave is end of the world, if stay then good. If leave then the right people will came foward to take his place, Look at our history,

When Henry left, Adebayor came, Adebayor left, Van Per came.

When Viera left, Fab came, Fab left, Arteta came.
No worry all Gooner!! icon_rolleyes.gif

but but in the last few years we ALWAYS had to rely on one particular player to steer the team forward. The Invincibles were all around squad, each player played their role with no one taking the 'God' role. after that we can see the pattern started to change to one-man team a.k.a. the God role who ends up being snatched away by other teams:

post-Invincibles:
when the Invincibles broke up; Pires, Cole, Vieira, Parlour, Edu, Bergkamp all left the team, we became over reliant on Titi - he's the captain, free kick taker, corner kick taker, penalty taker, top scorer and providing top assists as well

post-Titi:
after Titi left, Wenger started to build new team with new set of players AROUND FABREGAS. the pattern repeated itself - Fabregas became what Henry was except that he scored less (but I think in one season he was our top scorer no? forgot already)

post-Fab:
again, the same thing happened. this time it's RvP. and look where he's (probably) heading now

we don't know what's in Wenger's mind but seeing his actions in the past I think it's not impossible that he is going back to square one and rebuilding the team again should RvP leave, which is really bad for us because if he keeps rebuilding then how the hell is the team supposed to get matured and ready to challenge the Mancs?

yes agreed. initially, fab is set to replace vieira at the central midfield but then, fab left. yes, we're keep on building. but the problem is, AW prefer to play with more midfield either 4-3-3 or 4-5-1. i still prefer the attacking style of 4-4-2 during the invincible season. but nevertheless, big team spend big and all about money and fame.

last time adebayor then fabregas and nasri after this Rvp then wilshere then podolski and then arsenal become like leeds united

just for one season become god like then we gonna sell him

if already 3-4 seasons i dont care but just 1 season already wanna sell him

i dont know what is happening with arsenal boards of director
as far i know AW want to keep Rvp but if the boards dont want to help nothing he can do

as far i concerned Arsenal will survive till stadium debt finished.. I dont think we can hold any player we want now because got debt, we cant pay like mancity got sugar daddy, if usmanov and stan can work together hope Dein can replace Gazidis in transfer dealing.. The priority of board and owner is finish top 4, winning any cup is bonus, so what i can say we have to patience, and wait till right time come to buy right player.. Better dont abuse Arsene Wenger because he still loyal with us, yes he make mistake, but who not? see Alex Fergurson buy Bebe that price..

Yep. I think everyone sad. It's hard to win anything if every season we have to rebuild like unidentifyxd said. Hopefully thats not the case this time. Instead we add more quality signing that can put Arsenal on top of the league again.

dont forget that season is very different from highbury, we build stadium and we sell player to balance debt in our account.. every club have drought several season, so we not different.

yea i am in the wagon of can't afford to let RvP go
although we can still move on without him, loosing him would be a big loss for the team

the rebuilding thingy, its been going on for say 4-5 years now
people these days have no patience, i don't blame that
it took city 4 decades to win another English title,
Liv, to be frank i don't know when was the last time they won it..
a part from them having major rebuilding, they cant even find a stable manager to begin with

of course,i am not tha hinting that we should go that direction
we will never know, only time will tell
hopefully we don't have to wait that long to taste another BPL trophy

whatever it is, i do believe in Wenger to do his best to retain RvP in the team
one can only hope for the best now

hah!
if there is one thing we can learn from this are the victims of small clubs all around the world
those small clubs out there all around the world are the biggest victims in this scenario
all their talent are always snatched by bigger/big clubs
in a way i feel for the fan's and supporters of smaller clubs, they to have ambition
i wait for the day BPL have 20 teams competing for the title...nv gonna happen i guess laugh.gif

now that sugar daddies came into the picture, Roman and Sheikh
the food chain just got worst
Big clubs can now song lap from other big clubs easily, with show me the money
ask City to offer Barcelona 200m for Messi, of course they won't offer such ridi price
but if they do...i can guarandammtee,Barce will sell Messi

Wow, with that rpice, they could afford to built a new stadium. Yeah, these rich owners are definitely ruining the beautiful game, yet you don't see Sepp Blatter make a big deal about it. Instead, he's harking on the issues of keeping the face of football intact. FIFA is just as dumb not seeing this because they're too deluded with money.
