QUOTE(Corrupted Spirits @ May 17 2012, 09:42 AM) Man City doesn't really need him, so as Real Madrid. Only Sp*ds guarantees him a spot in the first team. No players like to shift teams every season, so its better to stay at one team you feel most comfortable with. Problem is, his wage is huge and teams need to be committed to pay his high transfer fee.Its good Arsenal sold him off for good money, since now its Man City's problem. Although, his scoring rates are still incredible. 35 goals scored in all competition for Sp*ds this season. Except for last season where he only scored 14 goals, he has been consistently scoring 30+ goals every season. Its quite impressive if you ask me. Also, defenders and GK are always having a hard time against him, but cut him off from the midfields, and he'll be quite as a mouse throughout the whole game. |

Honestly, I'd be okay if he moved to Barcelona or Real Madrid or any Italian/Dutch clubs, but please, not EPL team.

QUOTE(Quick` @ May 17 2012, 08:06 PM) hah! Wow, with that rpice, they could afford to built a new stadium. Yeah, these rich owners are definitely ruining the beautiful game, yet you don't see Sepp Blatter make a big deal about it. Instead, he's harking on the issues of keeping the face of football intact. FIFA is just as dumb not seeing this because they're too deluded with money.if there is one thing we can learn from this are the victims of small clubs all around the world those small clubs out there all around the world are the biggest victims in this scenario all their talent are always snatched by bigger/big clubs in a way i feel for the fan's and supporters of smaller clubs, they to have ambition i wait for the day BPL have 20 teams competing for the title...nv gonna happen i guess now that sugar daddies came into the picture, Roman and Sheikh the food chain just got worst Big clubs can now song lap from other big clubs easily, with show me the money ask City to offer Barcelona 200m for Messi, of course they won't offer such ridi price but if they do...i can guarandammtee,Barce will sell Messi |

Guys, lets say if Chelsea won the Champion's League and kicks out Sp*rs out from the competition next season, which team is going to have to play for promotion then? Chelsea or us?

Thanks for the info guys. I'm so relieved Arsenal is 100% guaranteed a spot in Champion's League next season. I'm still hoping for Chelsea to win it tonight, though. Not because I'm afraid of Sp*ds, but because Chelsea deserves it. They've beaten Barcelona for pete's sake.
Also, I'll be impressed to see Roberto Di Matteo to be the first Chelsea's manager to lift the CL trophy. I bet all the previous Chelsea's manager will facepalm if that happens tonight. |

Its unfair to tribute Chelsea's win to bookies or even coincidence. Its pure effort and teamwork with a dash of luck. Full credit goes to Roberto Di Matteo, the only successful manager to bring Chelsea to the coveted European trophy where all the other top, top managers have failed. I have a renewed respect on this guy and to think this Italian guy even failed in his application to manage Birmingham last season. Apparently, he's destined for a greater purpose.
To think that Arsenal almost dropped to fourth place a few days ago. I'm so relieved we secured the 3rd spot, hence Wenger's nerve-wreck in our last game was justified. Yet, its still possible that Sp*ds MIGHT play in the playoffs. Seems like there's two possibilities to it. PS- i've never seen Torres so happy today. Its a happy ending to his disastrous run early in the season. |

QUOTE(Quick` @ May 20 2012, 08:54 PM) And Roberto Carlos. Anzhi is located in the city of Makachkala, the capital of Dagestan. Dagestan is approximately the size of Perak, so you know it isn't a very big city. Funny thing is that the squad doesn't live or train there. They mostly live and train in Moscow, which is 2000km away from their home ground. The norm is that the squad would fly 2000km the day before a home game to Makachkala and then jump on a bus immediately after the final whistle. It is said that BBC declared Dagestan as the most dangerous place in Europe. How kewl is that? That should make Bouchra think thrice before accepting Anzhi's ridiculous offer. Its an interesting read indeed about this Russian club which started only in 1991. You guys do know that there's a lot of billionaires in Russia. A lot has got to do with oil and industrial revolution post USSR, but a lot of their financial wealth comes from other dubious bussinesses. So to avoid any government intervention and redtapes, they're 'encouraged' to invest in the development of Russia's poorest region. This is where the billionaire Suleiman Kerimov enters the scene. I think he is the new leader of Dagestan, so obviously he has some importance to play in purchasing an unknown squad such as Anzhi. Its a step to a bigger project indeed. I can say that buying Eto'o is a publicity stunt and more so to come. They're also building a new stadium there, so its a long term project for them. They're still far from any European cup, but what money can't buy these days, huh? |

Yes, deepest gratitude to this awsome fellow. A good loan indeed, and his attitude is just pure class. Its a pity to see him go, seriously but I hope he will find a decent team next season.

I'm quite devastated by the news. Its the clear AW and the Board put RVP on high regards when they're able to discuss with him on level field and with deep respect. Only problem I see is that I think the Board has different direction compared to RVP. The way I see it, the Board's only responsibility towards the progress of the team on the pitch is to fund money when needed. Its clear that a team needs money to enforce the team.
If I were in RVP's shoe, my wish would be that better, quality signings be made in the earliest possible season, because I don't have much time left as my age as getting close to the big 3. Podolski and Giroud are two good signings, but everyone is aware that more needs to be done on other departments. This is where I think RVP and the Board has different opinions. The Board seems to be consistent with their decisions each year....prudent spending and standard salary tier. Regardless that AFC never won any cups, they are considerably happy just being in UCL and still in the top four in BPL. IN the long run, perhaps they believe that winnings will come but NOT NOW, and surely NOT by overspending. Who knows the team better than the captain and the manager? They're both trying to explain to the Board on what is lacking in the team. The world is fast moving and if the Board don't realize it, all the other top teams in the world is going to surpass AFC in no time. Already Man City is ahead of us in many aspects. Sp*rs might soon leapfrog us if they can find a sugar daddy to pamper them. Even Newcastle are capable of running us down on a good day. So here they sit and discuss about the possible prospect and future of AFC while the Board dilly-dally and sitting comfortable on their mahogany chair, looking at the money rolling in the banks. Its frustrating indeed for the captain and the manager to not be able to kick the Board off their butts, but that's the common case these days. I still believe there is a good reason to why RVP choose to not sign a new contract. Its perhaps to putting some threats to the Board that unless AFC pump more cash for the manager, they will lose one of their most prominent player. Worst is, other players might follow his lead departing. I don't know what AW stand on this, but I do hope he is standing behind the team and not the Board. |
