“I think if you look at the season as a whole, we lost only two of the last 16 games and created a fantastic run. In the end we finished with 70 points, which is respectable, and we qualify for the Champions League for the 15th consecutive year. Of course we are very proud of that, especially this season having started where we started. We had problems getting over the line and you could see that again today.”
— Arsene Wenger on sealing third place  notworthy.gif

Wenger should seriously work something out of our defensive line. Look at this stats:

Goals scored:
Man City 93
Man Utd 89
Arsenal 74
Spu*s 66

Goals against:
Man City 29
Man Utd 33
Everton 40
Liverpool 40
Spu*s 41
Chelsea 46
Sunderland 46
Arsenal 49
Newcastle 51

Attacking-wise, we are third in the league, just behind MU
Defensive-wise...just look at the stats and all the goals we conceded against the smaller teams sweat.gif

and I believe this situation has not changed much since 4-5 seasons ago, with the exception on 07-08 season when we nearly there before everyone screwed it up after the Eduardo incident

for that im happy because we not need to hope single player, maybe next season another player stnad up, Ramsey anyone?

but but in the last few years we ALWAYS had to rely on one particular player to steer the team forward. The Invincibles were all around squad, each player played their role with no one taking the 'God' role. after that we can see the pattern started to change to one-man team a.k.a. the God role who ends up being snatched away by other teams:

post-Invincibles:
when the Invincibles broke up; Pires, Cole, Vieira, Parlour, Edu, Bergkamp all left the team, we became over reliant on Titi - he's the captain, free kick taker, corner kick taker, penalty taker, top scorer and providing top assists as well

post-Titi:
after Titi left, Wenger started to build new team with new set of players AROUND FABREGAS. the pattern repeated itself - Fabregas became what Henry was except that he scored less (but I think in one season he was our top scorer no? forgot already)

post-Fab:
again, the same thing happened. this time it's RvP. and look where he's (probably) heading now

we don't know what's in Wenger's mind but seeing his actions in the past I think it's not impossible that he is going back to square one and rebuilding the team again should RvP leave, which is really bad for us because if he keeps rebuilding then how the hell is the team supposed to get matured and ready to challenge the Mancs?

dafuq man Anzhi offering GBP300,000 without tax. if I am RvP I also dunno can turn down that offer or not lol. play there for 2 years can goyang kaki for the rest of your life

i bet Anelka doesn't give a sh!t about his ex-teammates' success in Munich. torres flashes CL medal to him, he counters it with a Hummer loaded with cash

Van Persie's mother Jose added: "Arsenal love him and that's a great incentive to stay. Arsenal are a fantastic club. They have no debts and Robin is idolised there."

i think Arsenal fans would love to see Holland crashed out of the tournament early so that RvP can decide his future faster lol

On the way back home I heard from the radio there is a rumor Chelsea is making a shock move on Walcott. I remember Walcott said he's waiting on whatever happens with RvP contract before he making his. It could mean different things, but we certainly don't know what's in his head.

1. RvP renew contract, less chance for Walcott to play in central position thus making him considering another club

2. RvP reject contract renewal, higher chance for Walcott to play central position, Walcott stays

3. RvP renew contract, Walcott can have more happy time down the right wing providing assists to RvP (lulz)

last season he repeated several times how he wished le boss would start him as striker instead of on the flanks. plus with the arrival of 2 strikers in Giroud and Podolski, I can see that Walcott is panas punggung already. not to mention the rise of AOC. Wenger is not the type of a coach to say GTFO directly but all the striker signings is like a soft way to tell that poor guy that his time is up
