Some question come up my mind this morning.. Say if we are flashing Singapore pre rooted stock rom or other country rom, when official Malaysia stock rom release, do we need to flash to original Malaysia stock Rom to get the update through kies? Or it recognize by the phone imei number or sim card?

As I found out that the playstore dependent on country sim card to determine what games can be downloaded.. Thank you

u can update it directly..actually malaysia n spore share the same rom DXLC2..

As long as your phone is on any stock official rom ( even rooted ) , you can get OTA updates. BTW, Spore rom is same as Msia rom

uncle..sorry yo bothering u..i've seen atleast 2-3 ppl facing when updating to ics their keyboard when type keluar "null" why this happend and how to solve it??just wipe data and cache or reflash the ics rom??

Past 1 hour was testing latest lean AOPK rom : Asylum
No major issues. Rom is very slick and smooth

I really like AOPK roms , having tested Imilka ( now discontinued ), Cyanofree, LiquidSmooth, Cyanogen9. Cyanofree , Cyanogen9 development seems has stop temporary , LiquidSmooth v2 coming up probably tomorrow

This is how I installed it:
Started from Base rom : LiquidSmooth v1 with its LP5 kernel

Install Abyss Kernel 4.2 - boot to its recovery
Wipe cache partition and dalvik cache ( did not wipe data)
Install the rom zip
Install gapps
Reboot

Everything perfect, install without any problems ; all apps retained , no FC at all

Thereafter use root explorer, edit build prop lcd density to 320 as I find the default of 240 too small
Change also the bootanimation.zip at /system/media as did not like the red skull animation

Do remember developer clear instructions of kernel to use :

-make sure you have the ability mount /system R/W and be able to paste into /system as well.
-be on a proper working recovery, (DAFUQ, CM9 or a GB recovery ONLY)

Reflashing the rom seems to solve it

Looks like digi has offer now if you buy online. The thing that I dont understand is the advance payment. Any member can suggest which one to take?

You have to subscribed to any of their data plan and be committed to it. It is worth it if you need to use so much data monthly
The advanced payment will be rebated back to you over the period you are tied with them. So nett you still save
You can only decide yourself which plan is suitable for you as only you know your own data needs
Most users 1 GB is enough ; for me I always used up to 3 GB monthly easily

However do note Digi data coverage is weaker than Celcom and Maxis. It will never hit H, H+ levels only max 3 G

I've been Digi prepaid user for more than 4 years Digi line here is quite good as I'm living in the main city KK, Sabah. So how does this work? Digi pay to us back the advanced payment? Sorry for asking such question.

Further impressions on German LPY ROM (caveat: updated over DarkyROM 3.4 RE with no factory reset done on it):

1. Got a few random FC on some apps at first, but after a while it has settled down.

2. Definitely charging slower a bit over USB, haven't tried with wall charger yet.

3. Weird issue when on flight mode with wifi-on, getting a lot of Kernel wakelock related to wlan_rx_wake. That screwed up power usage a lot since deep sleep was not activated. Anyone else getting this issue?

4. Can't seem to disable certain Samsung background related services. Anyone found a way to disable MAPServiceSamsung?

5. Modem doesn't feel as good as LB modem was, but further testing required.

6. On the good side, launcher etc are all generally as smooth as DarkyRom was, and in some cases (landscape rotation) beats it. I like that lockscreen doesn't take 2 seconds to pop up now.

7. Finding notification bar up-top very bland now. Got used to the green theme in DarkyROM... haha.

Overall, liking ICS, but there still some issues to be addressed. I will further test it for one week at least to see how it holds up. Trying a few things to see if I can get rid of most of the kernel wakelocks not allowing deepsleep.

Added on May 13, 2012, 11:42 amlets make it simple..let say that u take rm89 and u get rebet rm30 for 12 months..then u just need to pay rm59 instand of rm89..it is bcos digi will auto rebet rm30 into ur monthly bill..of course if u use more then that u need to pay more then rm59..

its battery performance seems like weaker than stock? or I should calibrate my battery? using apps? or Uncle's benny method? jz wipe battery stat in recovery mode?

I am on Midnote 1.2 beta, but should be similar to stock German LPY. For (4), i managed to freeze the MAPServiceSamsung through Titanium backup Pro. Doesn't show up in the running apps anymore, and phone still seems ok.
