to junkie yea spec and price are the key concern but sending for warranty for weeks is not. I didnt expect this to come from a junkie like yourself judge a device with lower spec means hardly spoil hahaha. i guess you are new to mobility world.

but in a business world that is losing business because not reliable.

time to upgrade yourself not everyone buy computer only because cheapest with bad after service

Yeah I'm new to this. I don't know majority of consumer out there is a business man that don't have any backup in case of critical downtime and not your typical home user or students on budget but want the most bang/buck for their purchases.

You should be getting business class laptop with extended warranty if downtime is critical anyway and not only Dell can provide that.

sssh, Dell is because DFO units are amazing new units
it is so amazing that you would need that after sales service when it breaks down
\s \kappa

it is amazing how a fake thread from a MSI cybertrooper is still not closed even after being called out to provide evidence of his warranty and just MIA

dell is more expensive than asus? really? i think they are almost the same. Plus, I will take dell anytime of the day unless asus have some feature that I need not in dell.

Haha, yeah sure. That's why for 15" you only get 6th Gen Core-i5 with no dGPU and 500GB HDD for RM2.5k while you can get a 7th Gen Core-i5 + GT940MX + 1TB HDD + 128GB SSD for the same price with Acer laptop?
Their device is hardly spoil because there's not much stuff in it.  laugh.gif

Even HP offer better price/performance compare to Dell and they also have Onsite Warranty though instead of next business day they need next 3-5 days to come.
*
Dell provided Premium support which higher services then normal NBD warranty for consumer range as well, for Laptop that you mention around rm 2.5K range

Asus laptop is cheaper than Dell overall and closer to Acer pricing.
Pricing goes like Acer<Asus<HP<=Dell.

I meant warranty service, oh it's not from the same company?
Hit threshold of what? Customer dissatisfaction? laugh.gif

Oh, HP still cheaper than Asus? I thought their price went up or Asus price went down in recent years.

I also agree with Velocity, Dell is simply the better computer based on my own experience so far. I have a Dell home laptop which I bought from 2008 and it is still working fine today, and still looks as good, nothing broken or fall apart! I've used Dell laptops in the office and they can take my abuse well, not shutting down and hibernating for many2 weeks, while opening so many programs, but still working fine. They might not offer the highest specs for the same price but somehow their laptops are just more reliable which is a very important criteria at least to me. To top it off, their service is also very good, dependable and on time as promised, at least based on my experience so far.
With Acer, I've used once as an office laptop, bad experience as it often hang even with more careful use and it's noisy.
HP also the same, countless times giving blue screen problems, hangs, etc2, just not reliable even with more care.
Lenovo also not durable enough, my son's Lenovo already got some keys falling off and the hinges already broken and replaced in just 3 years of use, so lousy built quality.
Asus, don't even mention that brand to me, I will never buy it ever in Malaysia even if it offers the highest spec at the cheapest price! Totally shit service and the laptop I bought for my other son already had many problems and finally gave up the ghost after about 2+ years using. Their tabs also the same shit, all broken in less than 2 years of use.

Btw, my younger brother bought a HP laptop from HP outlet at One Utama next to Osim store. The HP salesman said it can be used straightaway being fully charged. So a few stores away he tried it at Starbucks and could smell something during the first two hours of trying.
He immediately brought it back to the HP shop however the HP salesman was rude and told him to call HP warranty and walked away. He called me and his friends to come over to One Utama to help out.
In the end we pressured the HP salesman to give him a new replacement since the stuff he bought overheated causing its motherboard to die within a few hours of buying it! I
Would he ever buy another HP? No. Not from that shop.

I think Asus have changed their service maybe after many complaints?

My UX305 just finished warranty. Laptop sometimes no display when it switched on.
Need to wait until few days then magically, the display will return but it won't last long. Say if I use it for few hours & decided to restart, there will be no display after that. Only caps lock LED and power LED are visible.

Certain parts are failing I guess. Dunno whether I want to bring to Asus CS. Afraid they will charge exorbitant fees.

Anyone can suggest if it's there 3rd party shop specializing in Asus laptops?
