IMO,you should get the HD DSLR. Camera / Video all in one. Advantage is that you can full manual your setting for some DSLR.QUOTE(andychai910904 @ Jun 6 2012, 06:41 PM) I haven't tried it. Yes. it is a stop motion. The problem is the number of shutter that you will be using. Fuh |

QUOTE(zstan @ Jun 2 2012, 12:30 AM) Hi guys, any nice articles to read about video? Nofilmschool.com has a free DSLR guide to filmmaking, the site also has tons of information, articles and news to read. Phillipbloom.net also has alot of information, articles and gear reviews by Phillip Bloom, plus the tips from the pro himself! He does alot of documentary and commercial shoots. blog.vincentlaforet.com also a very nice blog to read, in case your wondering, Vincent LaFloret is the Pioneer in HDSLR video/filmmaking. He's the guy who made Reviere and starts the whole revolution! For a more film approach on DSLR you can go to Shane Hurlburt's website: http://www.hurlbutvisuals.com/blog/. He basically made Act of Valor, a Hollywood action film, on 5D Mark II If your looking for news/event video website, Dan Chung's website offers that for you at http://www.dslrnewsshooter.com/. and you still have EOSHD, Planet5D and canonrumours.com as well. happy reading, mate This post has been edited by egoness: Jun 8 2012, 05:53 AM |

QUOTE(zstan @ Jun 8 2012, 04:32 PM) erm. if i dont even understand the basics like the differences between 50p and 50i or 24p..how do i even start ? Hit wiki or google for detail explanation of the various frame rates.Personally all you need to understand the industry standard from tv to movies is 1 second is made of 24 frames.thanks bro!!! 50/60 frames is the pal and ntsc tv broadcast format. With most of available editing software they have built in codec or 3rd party to convert your footage anyway.Interlace or progressive boils down to whether your tv model supporting it or not.As long as your final product is not going for broadcast don't worry too much.At the end just bear in mind what's your final product gonna be SD or HD.If sd you can practically shoot with dv cam or reframe your hd footages during editing.HD just to make sure you shot everything on HD la! The more important skill to pick up is the elusive film language. It's not something you can just read about it but to experience during the course of shooting.Say do I need an establishing wide shot to follow with close-up or something else.Do I edit according to what been shot or edit to a certain style.Planning and equipment budget which all comes into play. It helps a lot if you are already on MAC coz I find their free imovie or their fcpx is pretty much idiot proof and a good beginning point for editing. Coming from a producer in a post-production facility. This post has been edited by crazeoneeighteen: Jun 9 2012, 09:37 PM |
