QUOTE(ocz @ Jun 8 2012, 04:30 AM) hi, i dont really read much about videography. i prefer to try it out by myself and get it done right. erm. if i dont even understand the basics like the differences between 50p and 50i or 24p..how do i even start ? QUOTE(egoness @ Jun 8 2012, 05:40 AM) Nofilmschool.com has a free DSLR guide to filmmaking, the site also has tons of information, articles and news to read. thanks bro!!! Phillipbloom.net also has alot of information, articles and gear reviews by Phillip Bloom, plus the tips from the pro himself! He does alot of documentary and commercial shoots. blog.vincentlaforet.com also a very nice blog to read, in case your wondering, Vincent LaFloret is the Pioneer in HDSLR video/filmmaking. He's the guy who made Reviere and starts the whole revolution! For a more film approach on DSLR you can go to Shane Hurlburt's website: http://www.hurlbutvisuals.com/blog/. He basically made Act of Valor, a Hollywood action film, on 5D Mark II If your looking for news/event video website, Dan Chung's website offers that for you at http://www.dslrnewsshooter.com/. and you still have EOSHD, Planet5D and canonrumours.com as well. happy reading, mate |

Shot this yesterday for an event using a Sony a77 with the autofocus turned on and editted with windows movie maker. Seems like the quality had been degraded :/ Time to look for alternative video editors. The AF works very well at tracking the subjects but the downside is if i point at the background it will immediately defocus. It was also partly my fault that I didn't turn on the face detection mode. |
