Dear all,

I schedule 2 interviews at the same time. The company A asked me to interview on 9.30am next tuesday, and company B asked me to phone interview on 10am next tuesday as well.

In fact, I've delayed the interview with company B before, due to some interviews clash as well. And now I have this problem again. Truthfully, I prefer company A, it's my first preference. I've asked the company A that is it possible for a delay for the interview, and they said this is the only time they can do.

What should I do? What do you think I should tell them on the phone? *last time i used reason that I'm still outstation, can't make it* I've made a bad impression last time, seriously worried that the company will cancel my interview. sad.gif

as told above, company A is my first preference, however I don't want to miss any chance of getting a job, as company B is quite a big firm too. sad.gif

There is nothing wrong with telling the truth. At least they know they are facing some competition for the candidate the selected.

U can send them a "thank you" letter first. Then, follow up again with them after a week or so.

I understand how u feel.

Normally they won't reply the thank you. Unless you asking any question.

I have a question. Gonna attend an interview tomorrow.
Most likely there will be more than 1 interviewer.

So when I greet them, do I address 1 by 1 or all together?

I feel 1 by 1 more polite but feels silly to be going:
Good morning sir.
Good morning sir.
Good morning sir.

May I take a seat?

Sorry, kinda slow to response.

Yes it is silly to address one by one unless you know their names. You can always a the person that leaded you to the interview room. May I take a seat sound very amateurish. Dont say anything wait for them to tell you to sit down. I use body language to make them invite me to sit.
